RUDE Restaurant-Bar — Restaurant in Calvià

Had lunch at Rude Restaurant on arrival at Portals Nous for our vacation. Nice food , friendly service , no complaints . I should add that my partner and I sat at one of the tables for four which overlook the passing street and are very nice to eat at. Went back tonight for dinner. The restaurant was very quiet with most of the tables empty. We sat at the same table we had sat at previously . We were then approached by a very haughty female member of staff who told us we could not sit there as they were only for parties of four and we would have to move to alternative seats inside the restaurant . So get the picture , empty restaurant , you can’t sit there, it would remind you a bit of the plane boarding scene from Meet the Parents. Long story short we left Miss Haughty , her empty restaurant and her hot indoor seats and went elsewhere . Tip for a happy holiday , give it a miss. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area who will be delighted to see you coming...

We had our first lunch when we arrived for our vacation and it was great. We were seated at the outside seating for four with no problem. We enjoyed our food and the guy that served us was nice. The second time we were there we had drinks and saw the ribs and was told that it was one of their bestseller so we decided to have dinner the following day which was so quiet like a lot of tables are empty. We decided to sit outside because it was warm but this rude server lady told us to move because the table is for four people. Would have been happy to do so if the place is packed but not. There’s a couple sitting in a table for four so what’s the difference? It’s ridiculous. There are a lot of better restaurants that treats guest well. I don’t recommend and avoid at all cost. We went here for food on our first day of holiday shortly after arriving. It was fairly late afternoon/ early evening so the place wasn’t too busy at all. We didn’t know the area so we were just exploring looking for a meal to accommodate us as we were super hungry. This place seemed really relaxed and had pleasant chilled atmosphere and they had no problem accommodating us. The food was nice, just nice, fairly average but nothing special in all honesty but it certainly wasn’t bad. We had a pleasant experience but the reason for the lower rating was the service. The waitress barely spoke and barely smiled and was hard to alert to ask for drinks etc. In fact she barely said anything at all! It was disappointing service considering the place wasn’t busy.
