I was very surprised that this is a 4.7 star reviewed place. There seems to be a good amount of 5 star reviews from people who have only rated and reviewed one place - and this being the place. This is certainly not a 4.7 star place. And certainly not if you take prices into account (the value for what you get). In summary; For a 100 Euro a couple dinner (with NO alcohol), we experienced the following; 1- We asked to sit by the window, near the street, there were 3 or 4 tables available, on a weekday evening, and the rest of the place relatively empty. We were told no, and that they have to keep those open for parties of 4. 15 minutes later, a party of 2 was seated at one of those tables and remained a party of two. That's insulting. 2 - You can order a plate of mixed sashimi (12 pieces) for approx 35 Euros. Asked the waitress if maybe we can just have two out of the three kinds offered on the plate - the answer was no. Asked the hostess/waitress if maybe we can have half an order - the answer was no. Okie dokie then. (3) We order a selection of 4 or 5 simple plates, at a cost of about 12 - 17 Euros each. These are of course tiny. And, boom, they arrive within a minute or two, averagely plated, quite salty. So, were they cooked to order - or were they pre-cooked and just heated up - I don't get it. How do produce this food in minutes? (4) There is a note somewhere that says, we don't offer "courses" - we will just give it to you as they come out of the kitchen. So basically, up to them. If you want this first, then that, and this other thing later? We'll that's certainly not going to happen. They will serve you as they see fit. (5) They added a 10% service charge to the bill, marked in really bad English as "tax"(?), then with some subtitles at the bottom of the bill that it is perhaps "optional". Wow. Please don't do that in Spain. It's not normal, and not appreciated. Don't treat your customers like idiots. Because that is what...
Read moreReally disappointing experience. The place looked lovely from the outside and the reviews seemed like it would be a great place to eat while in Mallorca, but we left so frustrated.
I ordered the teriyaki fillet and my partner ordered the duck gyozas & bao buns, plus some rice for us both. My main came out first on its own which is fine assuming the other food will follow shortly, but we had to wait another 5 minutes before the rice got served and then another 5 minutes before the first one of my partners mains came. At this point we started to eat and my main was cold from having to wait for my partners food to come, plus it was supposed to be cooked medium and it was more well done. I’ve attached a picture of what it was supposed to look like vs how it came.
We had to wait 25-30 minutes from the first dish coming out to finally receive my partners actual main dish, the bao buns, at this point we had eaten everything. And then to make things worse the sticky rice was cold soon as they came out and the bao buns we waited 30 mins for were really dry and extremely salty, almost as if the chicken inside was just cooked from frozen.
When we were waiting around for the last main to be brought out we asked why it was taking so long and one of the waitresses said that there’s only 1 small oven for the whole restaurant, so this means they have to cook things one specific dish at a time. If we had known this prior we wouldn’t have ordered food here! It meant that we had to wait 30 minutes for one of our mains to come out and then the table next to us got their bao buns about 5 minutes after ordering, due to them batch cooking the dishes.
The cherry on top was that this was the most expensive meal during our week stay in Mallorca and definitely the worst. Overpriced not great food plus stupid waiting times.
I would really recommend Thai Pan if you want well-cooked Asian dishes, or Habibi if you fancy some authentic...
Read moreHad dîner here with my family. The food was very fine, I appreciated that the menu could be viewed on your phone by scanning a QR code. They have a nice children menu and quite nice gluten-free options, which is really nice. One thing I didn't like at all was that there was no windows to protect you from the street, just a plastic screen. On one end it allows for great view over the street (while there is nothing to see except the cars passing), but on the other end you eat with the street noise. A loud motorbike passing by, a big bus (we had 2 during our diner) or random cars and then you don't ear anymore your conversation. Also, you get the smell of the gas from the car while you eat, which is not so great. The service tonight was particularly unpleasant for me, as the waitresses (4 for 3 tables) jumped on our plates immediately after finishing or meal, like pushing us to get out. Also, there was just 3 tables included ours, but the waitresses put us all together which resulted in everyone talking loud to overcome the conversation of the neighbors, while the restaurant was quasi empty! Finally, one of the waiter was making conversation with one of the other table, leaving us no choice but to listen to the conversation as we were all put so close to each other. The price tag of 72 euros for 3 people was OK, but I ended up having only one wish, to get out as fast as possible from there due to the service...
