We went for an early dinner here as a family member said that they got a great breakfast there before. There were a few signs which should have warned us that this probably wasn't going to be great. Firstly, the menu was huge. In my experience, so much on a menu usually means that either everything is just average or you're in for some nasty surprises. Then the seever took our order but wrote nothing down, despite me saying no salad and one of the kids asking if she could have some bacon on her burger etc. We ordered drinks which came promptly, a cocktail for me, soft drinks for the kids and a beer for my aunt. The pina colada looked unusually but I gave it a go anyway. Its not like me to leave a drink (or food!), but the cocktail wasn't touched much after the first few sips, it was just a miss somehow and settled weirdly.
I ordered a chicken dish which said it came with fresh potatoes and salad, though I said no salad as its usually a waste for me. When it came out, it was a grilled chicken breast and chips with cheese on the side. Not a potato in sight, and definitely not what was on the menu. I checked with the server about the potatoes noted on the menu and she looked at me and said they are potatoes, pointing to the chips. I suppose she was right but I was saddened by plate of chips in place of some spuds.
The kids meals were fine but I had to give one of the girls my chips as she only had about 8 onn her plate. My aunt ordered the chilli and she liked her meal so I probably just set my expectations too high but I honestly didn't think that what i got - chips and a grilled chicken breast - were worth nearly €18. Closer to €8 worth of food. It was very plain and if I was guessing, I'd say either precooked or frozen.
We were essentially ignored by our server after she set the plates down and it took about 20 minutes to flag someone else down to get the bill when we were finished. We did not stay for the "famous" pancakes and I would not return here again, I don't care how good or cheap their breakfast is.
The highlight of the place is the view, it's steps from the beach and the sea. I would advise that people take a few more steps to another place to eat and...
Read moreDO NOT COME HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! 😡😡 we came here our first night of holiday and they had a wedding going on so it was very busy and they just kept accepting more people to sit in even though they was very busy and was stressed out instead of saying no sorry we are busy . We got asked pretty quick if we wanted drinks but didn’t get asked what we wanted for food . And we told them we wanted food because it was about 9pm so we didn’t know if they was still serving food and the women said yes we are still serving food . We waited atleast 15mins and nobody came over to take our order for food . So i said to the waiter excuse me can we order food , he came over with such a grumpy face , miserable, rude manner about him . We told him what we wanted for food took the menus and there was no thank you , no smile just walked away . SO RUDE 😡we wanted to walk out at this point . We ordered sangria and we was just gonna drink that and go somewhere else but we knew everywhere would be busy so we stayed . Then the food came we ordered a chicken stroganoff. Which was suppose to come with potatoes it came with chips and the chicken wasn’t chicken it was pork ,and stone cold 🥶 we wanted to stay something but we just knew we would we waiting even more longer . And we ordered a spaghetti carbonara 🍝very big portion I’ll give them that but it was freezing, not one bit was hot . My mum then told the waitress that was pork not chicken and she went bright red and said no it was chicken and then she told the waiter and he just didn’t care . So we paid for bill it was around 60 euros for 2 mains and 1 jug of sangria. DIDN'T EVEN HAVE STARTERS . So if u are Jewish or a Muslim and u come here be very careful as the chicken could be pork . Lucky we could eat pork but some people can’t and it would...
Read moreA little more pricy compared to others but it does have better views then most others.
They also have a teenagers meal deal which made us laugh and the pints of beer are like mugs of beers. The menu does have plenty of choice so it would be surprising if you couldn't find any. There's back ground music which is a little boring and when slightly bussuier you can't hear it but hey the conversation with friends is great.
Tye toilets 🚻 are upstairs and small and if busy you will be touching shoulders there's also people smoking inside watching the football right next to the stairs to the toilet, I didn't mind this but some might.
If you want food it's a worth while visit just for a...
