RAW CHICKEN AND THEN THREATENED BY THE STAFF.
It's not possible to give less than a one star review but please avoid this place if you want to enjoy your holiday. We ordered a pizza and a breaded chicken breast, the pizza arrived first so I waited for my wife's chicken, this finally arrived 5 minutes later and as soon as she cut it you could clearly see it was raw inside.
We asked the waiter to sort this out and 2 minutes later the same chicken reappeared with darker breadcrumbs but still raw inside, we complained again.
My pizza still sitting here going cold.
The third arrival of the chicken saw even darker breadcrumbs but still pink chicken, at this point a more senior member of staff arrived and I said we'd had enough of the situation and wanted to leave. The chap immediately produced a bill asking for full payment for the chicken and the now stone cold but uneaten pizza plus drinks. I said I'd pay for the drinks but not the food.
His reply was that he had sent out 3 orders of chicken so I should be grateful to be only charged for one! I explained I would not pay for food which could not be eaten and that the drink payment was me being more than fair.
The chap then got really close up to me and began to try and intimidate me and then threatened "consequences" for non payment. At this point my wife was beginning to get upset and scared so we swiftly left being followed by the alleged manager still muttering about his food being perfect.
Now if you can't deep fry a bit of chicken successfully then a combination of Italian, Indian and other world cuisine is possibly a bit of a stretch and you may be better served avoiding the restaurant business.
If you value your hard earned money, your stomach and your health please avoid this terrible establishment.
I can only presume that the positive opinions on this place are either referring to a neighbouring restaurant and the reviewers are confused or the staff have very active families who enjoy...
Read moreMy family and I recently dined at The Heritage Indian Restaurant, where we enjoyed a wonderful meal that left us satisfied. While the meal was delicious, the overall eating experience was dulled by inconsistency in service.
While we were looking at the menu, our first server happily informed us that the restaurant had complimentary cava, which was a wonderful surprise. However, as we were ready to place our orders, a different waiter took over our table, and it became clear that his primary goal was to upsell rather than provide attentive service. This shift in service left us feeling like sales targets rather than valued customers.
Throughout our meal, we encountered three different waiters, all of whom came our table to inquire about the quality of the cuisine. While their desire to ensure our satisfaction was admirable, the regularity with which they visited became intrusive and disturbed the entire meal experience. It would have been nice to have a personal server that took care of our requirements throughout the meal.
When we requested the bill near the end of our visit, we were approached by another staff member who instantly asked if we would be prepared to score the restaurant on Google reviews. While feedback is important, the timing and method of the request felt out of place.
Despite these service issues, The Heritage Indian Restaurant's food was unquestionably the highlight of our visit. The flavours were complex, the presentation was pleasing, and the selection of dishes catered to a wide range of tastes. The kitchen staff's culinary skills are...
Read moreTitle: Disappointing Dining Experience
Our recent dining experience at the establishment left much to be desired. Upon seating, we were immediately bombarded with requests for our drink orders, without even a moment to peruse a menu that seemed elusive.
Navigating through the menu proved to be a challenge due to its confusing layout. Eventually, we settled on a Chicken Tikka Madras with Boiled Rice and a Lamb Chilli Garlic dish, the latter not even listed on the menu but recommended by the staff. It arrived with Pilau Rice, along with a forced-upon side dish of Sag Aloo and a Chapati.
Unfortunately, our anticipation was met with disappointment as our plates arrived cold, a stark contrast to the piping-hot meals we expected. To our dismay, the supposed Chicken Tikka lacked any semblance of its traditional flavour, while the Lamb dish was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of garlic, lacking in taste. The Sag Aloo was equally underwhelming, with unprocessed spinach and minimal potato content. Even the Chapati was drenched in oil, making it unappetizing.
The final blow came with the bill, which totalled €70.00 for a pint of beer, a glass of wine, and mediocre food. The exorbitant price, especially €11.90 for what should have been a side dish of Sag Aloo, €1.90 per poppadom, WHAT, us feeling cheated and...
