The Royal Thai Cuisine-Paguera — Restaurant in Calvià

I’d like to update my previous review at the bottom and won’t be back until something is sorted

When we booked we said it was my dads 80th birthday which is a big occasion.

When we arrived we weren’t greeted and had to hang around for the table.

We had to ask for the second portion of crackers 2 times and they arrived with the food.

Starters were very good home made spring roles. Your chicken satay compared to normal was tiny and not enough sauce.

It was too hot and not enough fans.

We then waited over an hour for the mains and not once did someone come along and say how are you doing or would you like us to get more drinks.

We then mentioned this to the waiter who didn’t understand why we made this comment and didn’t apologise to us.

The mains finally came out. My egg fried rice was like warm and the beef red curry and beer very chewy and portion size cut down from normal last time with the prices increased.

Prawn fried rice came out instead of pad thai which was complimented on the house and to be fair was the best dish.

Clear evidence can’t run a restaurant when it’s busy. Not a lack of staff more the management of work flow. We run hospitality operations.

Unfortunately you made a very average 80th dinner and let me down. You’ll also lose us as a customer unless it’s rectified.

Food is my life’s passion. I have extremely high standards and spend all my free time eating across the globe, searching for the next OMG moment.

Here, I had one last night. The deep-fried fish main course was truly spectacular. This is an authentic spot from Thailand that has made its way to Majorca.

If you’re debating visiting, don’t. It’s a pleasure and the perfect refresher for your palate if, like me, you’ve been eating Spanish cuisine non-stop.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place and want to give a personal thanks to our waiter, Tom. He was extremely attentive, empathetic, and joyous without being over the top or intrusive. Exemplary service—the restaurant is lucky to have such a talented individual working for them!
