We asked the gentleman (featured in one of the pictures) about how long it takes to get the order ready, just to set expectations and he replied by: it takes what it takes (tarda lo que tarda)!. He asked about what to drink, and we said glasses of water, which is customary in Spain and served on a complimentary basis, and he was not happy (he ended up bringing glasses of water though). I asked the owner if I could try their fabada (Asturia’s famous bean soup) and he smiled and asked if I’ve ever had fabada. I told him no, and he brought me a sample. It was delicious. The next time I visited, I basically ordered all the same dishes. And when I saw him bringing a dish to me after I had already received my food— I realized he was bringing me a sample of fabada again🥹

Desde el momento en que entras, te recibe una atmósfera cálida con una decoración tradicional, creando un ambiente ideal tanto para cenas como para reuniones con amigos o familiares. La iluminación suave y la música de fondo perfectamente seleccionada hacen que te sientas en casa.
El menú es una auténtica joya. Optamos por comenzar con la ensalada mixta y las fabes una delicia. Como plato fuerte, los escalopines al cabrales fueron una auténtica maravilla y el lobo adobado un descubrimiento total, buenísimo.
Lo que realmente diferencia a El Abuelo es el servicio. Los camareros fueron atentos sin ser intrusivos, siempre listos para recomendar. La pasión por lo que hacen se nota en cada gesto, lo que convierte la experiencia en algo realmente especial.
Para cerrar con broche de oro, el mousse de queso , el arroz con leche y la tarta de la abuela.
