Can't understand the ratings, to be honest. Either I got unlucky or people have low standards. Service was bad in the sense that we arrived before 7 PM, asked for a table for two and most of the tablets were available. They said "we are going to check if its possible". After a while they said it was OK, even though there were people without reservation wanting a table just to have a drink and they got seated right away. We took 15 minutes to get our order taken on a semi-empty restaurant and the waiters were not very polite, besides an older lady that speaks italiano (this one is really nice). The food was mediocre. Chicken parmesan was dry, the raviolis were not raviolis and were just oily and dry, without a decent filling, the patatas bravas were not patatas bravas and were served with a cocktail-like sauce. Kinda disappointing for the price they ask...

We were pretty shocked with this but again put it down to somewhat sarcastic humour. We soon found out this was not the case as the waiter came over, whipped the food menus, plates, and cutlery away, huffing and puffing as he did so. Once the bill had been put down abruptly on the table after 2 sips of coffee we promptly paid without a tip, and left. Pathetic restuarant seemingly run by a bunch...
Read moreI came yesterday for a small diner and was only craving pasta. When I arrived at Margot Locanda, I didn’t except to fall in love with the venue, the waiters and the food. The pasta were really good, but looking at the menu I knew I wanted to come back to try their tapas. God was I not disappointed. I came back this evening and tried three of them with every bite tasting even better than the one before. The cherry on the cake was the desert. I had one of the best tiramisu of my life. I couldn’t recommend Margot Locanda more. Just go for it and enjoy the quite of the street, the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff. I spent 56€ for three tapas, a glass of Spritz, a glass of wine, a bottle of water,...
