La Guitarra — Restaurant in Ciutadella

Very rude waitress. We went to eat paella. I am vegetarian but not my friend. We asked if it was possible to make the vegetarian paella for 1 (it is written for 2 people on the menu), the old waitress replied very rudely this was for 2 and not for 1. We then decided to have it and add mussles as a side course for my friend. I said repeatedly to bring them with the paellas and not as a starter but keep asking the same question so we gave up. I speak Spanish and I don't understand this type of rude behaviour to customers... The paella was good but it was more a risotto...

My favourite dinner in Ciutadella.

The cod was spectacular and the Escaldums (kind of like meat stew) was my own highlight - the meatballs, potatoes and chicken were just so tender and the stew/sauce was so flavourful and hearty - it felt like I was eating at a hunter’s lodge.

The location is also great, the tables at the little street/square are cool and if you’re lucky you’ll get seated right opposite the museum entrance with a view inside. The staff were very friendly and we didn’t mind the 10-15 wait for our table. It was...

Sono stata a cena a questo ristorante a fine luglio e mi sono trovata benissimo! Personale gentile, simpatico e attento alla cura del cliente. Infatti, soffro di allergie alimentari e per me non è sempre semplici sentirmi sicura al ristorante, soprattutto quando vado all’estero (sono italiana), ma qua mi sono sentita tranquilla come a casa. La cameriera è stata premurosa e gentilissima.

Ma passiamo alle portate, abbiamo ordinato: il mio compagno una porzione di polpettine (ci sono un sacco di tapas da provare, ma con prezzo se non ricordo male più da antipasto, anche perché le portate sono belle abbondanti, ad ogni modo secondo la sua opinione “stellari” 🤩), a seguire lui e come portata principale io abbiamo ordinato la coscia di maiale con le verdure. Infatti, nonostante si pensi a isola, mare, pesce a Minorca sono tanti i prodotti tipici di terra da provare. Proprio per questo motivo, mi ha ricordato molto la Sardegna. Ma non digrediamo… la portata era squisita e super abbondante e per me è stato impossibile finirla! Infine, abbiamo preso un dolcino in due, per la precisione la crema catalana. La cena è stata accompagnata da vino e acqua e se non erro anche un caffè per un totale di 65€ prezzo più che onesto. Ci tornerei? Sì 😃
