Oh dear. Such a wonderful location. The music complemented the decor and atmosphere. The evening promised to be memorable. The bar and table staff were exemplary. The Muga wine was delicious (1 star) and the Jamon Serrano was to die for (1 star). Sadly the rest of the meal let the place down. (minus 3 stars) Yema of asparagus with grated parmesan was cold and appeared straight out of a tin or bottle. No dressing or imagination put into it. 6 cold asparagus tips for €12? Bread served in a basket would have been nice if it had been warmed. So dry it was not possible to eat without asking for olive oil. 3rd dish was recommended special for the night - croquettes with rabo. Out comes a plate with 8 fried balls on it (another €12). Tasty but no dressing and no accompaniment, salsa, salad leaves etc. A little bit of tomato and salad just to dress the plate would have been nice and cost the restaurant nothing. It doesn't take much to make a good meal. It takes imagination to make a great one. The military style uniforms of the staff, while quite cool, sadly reflects the military canteen style of the kitchen. To the kitchen - leave the army, come back to civilian life and put some effort and imagination into your cooking please. Happy to return to the bar and courtyard for a drink but in the current canteen conditions we won't be having a meal ...
Read moreWe tried to eat here but unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. Service was extremely slow from the start. We eventually got drinks, but it took ages just to be given menus. Once we decided it took another long stretch to get someone over. We even thought maybe the protocol was to go to the bar but I tried that and noone was around. Also I think they should put signs up if they do want that. Once we were finally served, male waiter responded with clear irritation and pulled faces as if he couldn’t understand us, despite us trying in both English and Spanish. Even if there was a language barrier, I don't think it justifies that kind of attitude. In the end, we chose to leave and instead spent our evening at one of the many other wonderful restaurants in Cuenca, where the service was warm...
Read morePerfect fine dining place! Really recommend to try once in Cuenca😊 Nice restaurant which drew us in as soon as we passed by, really stunning modern interior, as well as outside sitting. We had hearty dinner: as appetizer we ordered Terrina de Foie (it was very delicious, we enjoyed it a lot), then we had 500g of dry aged piece of premium beef (perfectly cooked medium rare, with a little side of potatoes) and as a desserts we tried Panna Cotta (unfortunately, we did not enjoyed it that much, rather it resembled as Crema Catalana). Only minus we can note is that restaurant staff is a little slow and they do not speak or understand English and restaurant do not offer English menu, thus it was a little complicated in the beginning to understand each other. Overall...
