Extremely unpleasant service. The waitress took my credit card without permission. Besides, it’s a tourist trap.
We asked for two teas and two fruit bowls for breakfast and, after almost 20’ waiting for the bowls, we had to remind the waiter that we were waiting for them. They had completely forgotten! Besides, the bowls were tiny, nothing to do with their price.
On the other hand, we decided to pay by card, so my friend and I split the check. I had no problem when paying mine, but my friend used her mobile. The problem was that the payment terminal was not working properly, so the waitress suggested me paying for it. I tried to pay it contactless, but it didn’t work. So the waitress suggested inserting the card in the payment terminal, and I agreed. To my surprise, she said “I’ll be back”, and so she left with my card. When she came back I told her that she should’ve asked me for permission to take my card. Instead of understanding or apologizing, she looked at me with disdain, which made me feel really uncomfortable. Suddenly, two more waiters appeared, I thought they were going to understand me, but they looked me the same way. One of them, who was supposed to be the boss told me that it was just a connection problem. She said nothing about the waitress attitude, and also looked at me with disdain. Someone I have no acquaintance with, took my credit card without permission, and instead of understanding my position they looked at me in a very aggressive way. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever lived in a café.

Read moreI had the California Benedict at El Café de Ana, and it was absolutely delicious. This dish is a perfect example of how simple, fresh ingredients can elevate a classic brunch favorite. The English muffin was nicely toasted, topped with slices of creamy avocado and fresh tomato—both super flavorful and ripe.
The poached eggs were spot-on with a beautiful, runny center, and the hollandaise sauce was smooth and tangy with just the right amount of lemon to brighten the whole dish. It felt lighter than your usual Benedict but still indulgent enough to satisfy. Paired with their excellent coffee and a cozy atmosphere, it made for a perfect start to the day.
Highly recommend if you’re at El Café de Ana and in the mood for something...
Read moreWe visited Cafe de Ana yesterday. We hoped to enjoy some good coffee and a nice breakfast. Things did not turn out as expected though. We were seated in a very noisy and uncomfortable location and ordered breakfast. After some time we were able to move to a more comfortable location. Then we were served a small cup of coffee each. Approximately thirty to forty minutes later nothing else had arrived at our table so we decided to leave and asked for our bill. The staff wanted to charge us for the two breakfasts as well. We insisted on not paying for something we didn't get. Eventually we paid for the coffees and left. Not a word of apology was offered! Is that the Spanish way of treating customers and of...
