Nomada Italian Restaurant Review
A Taste of Calabria in Denia
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nomada, the Italian restaurant located in the picturesque El Portet Marina in Denia. Chef Mauro Gulli, hailing from Calabria, brought a touch of his homeland to the table, and it was evident in every dish we ordered.
A Delicious Start We began our meal with the Natali Pizza, a unique and flavorful combination of mozzarella cheese, pears, rocket, honey, and a hint of Gorgonzola. The sweetness of the pears and honey balanced perfectly with the savory cheese and peppery rocket, making for a truly delightful start to the meal.
Grilled to Perfection The Tagliata di Manzo was grilled to perfection, served with a simple yet effective accompaniment of rocket, parmesan, and balsamic. The beef was tender and juicy, and the flavors complemented each other beautifully.
A Sweet Finish The Meringata was a light and refreshing dessert, with a delicate meringue paired with lemon sorbet and passion fruit cream. The combination was both tangy and sweet, providing a perfect ending to our meal.
Excellent Service Throughout our dining experience, the service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed.
Overall Nomada is a hidden gem in Denia, offering authentic Italian cuisine with a personal touch. Chef Mauro Gulle's Calabrian roots shine through in his dishes, and the service is top-notch. If you're looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience, Nomada is definitely worth a visit.

Read moreA visit to Nómada in Dénia turned out to be a thoroughly satisfying experience. The moment of arrival set the tone—spaciously arranged tables provided a feeling of privacy that’s a rarity these days, especially appreciated coming from the UK, where crowding is too often the norm. This attention to comfort let the ambience feel relaxed and personal, never once succumbing to the bustle of neighboring diners.
The homemade bread and crunchy breadsticks were irresistible—freshly baked, warm, and rich in flavor, they made a strong first impression.
Each dish served was fresh and thoughtfully prepared, which is especially impressive for a Monday.
The staff’s wine recommendation was on point, expertly paired to suit our meal and enhancing the overall flavors.
In all, this was a genuinely pleasant dining experience—one that balances quality, comfort, and great taste. If seeking a reliably fresh and peaceful meal in Denia, Nómada is a...

The terrace offered stunning views of the marina and its boats in Port Dénia, creating a lovely ambiance. The food surpassed my expectations with its exceptional quality and creativity, going above and beyond the ordinary. Although some dishes were a bit pricey, the overall experience was well worth it. The only minor drawback was that the portion sizes were not very large. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent service, beautiful setting, and delightful...
