1 week Mallorca Itinerary for your upcoming trip. This island is so big and there’s so much to do that you could spend at least 10 days, but here are some highlights I was able to cover in just a few days. I also used Soller as a base and really loved it! Day 1: * Explore Soller’s town center, I booked a last min stay at Soller Plaza Hotel and loved this find! Recently opened, beautiful, modern, spacious rooms and right next to the plaza, highly recommend it! * Head to Port of Soller for sunset dinner along the beach, there are multiple restaurants in the area. Day 2: * Begin your day with the vintage train journey from Soller to Palma. * During the train ride, make a stop to explore Alfabia Gardens, a beautiful historic estate known for its stunning gardens and architecture. * Continue your train journey to Palma, and discover its historic old town, cathedral, and cultural attractions. Day 3: * Begin your day at Cala Deia with its beautiful turquoise waters * Around 11:50 AM, head to Ca’s Patró March to secure a walk-in reservation for lunch. Remember to order the garlic shrimp that are served sizzling 🤤 * Continue to explore the beautiful village of Deia and its charming streets. * Sunset dinner at Belmond Cafe Miro or El Olivo. Day 4: * Drive or take the ferry from Port Soller to Sa Calobra and explore the unique landscape * End the day exploring Fornalutx, known as one of the prettiest villages in Spain Day 5: * Start your beach day at Cala Llombards and visit Cala Santanyi, known for its charming fishermen-style houses. It’s within walking distance from Cala Llombards. * Explore the crystal-clear waters of Cala Del Moro, which is just a short drive (approx. 10 min) away from Cala Llombards. * Conclude the day by visiting Cala Salmunia, another cove a few mins walking distance from Cala Del Moro. Day 6: * Begin your day at Cala Del Pi * Head after lunch to the charming village of Valdemossa; exploring its beautiful alleys and end the day with a lovely dinner Day 7: * A boat trip from Llucmajor offers a scenic journey along the stunning coast of Mallorca, featuring crystal-clear waters, hidden coves, and beautiful cliffs

We stayed at the lovely Belmond hotel La Residencia which is connected to the restaurant. We booked our reservations well in advanced. We walked up at our reservation time, our name was on the list and we had no issues getting seated right away.

First the highlights: The Terrance, the decor and ambiance, everything about the setting is unparalleled. It’s a beautiful atmosphere, fragrant flowers everywhere, mountains in the background, organic gardens on the property. It’s truly a Graden of Eden.

The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. So sweet. A couple nit-pick things — they had two large parties of 12 on the night we dinned with them, there were still some open tables but I overhead a manager tell a couple walking up to grab a table that they wouldn’t be able to take their order for an hour and that they could enjoy a cocktail at the table until they could get around to taking their order. Totally understandable given the fact that the kitchen was probably overwhelmed with the number of people dinning at the same time. As a result we ended up having 3 different primary waitresses. They would come check in on us regularly enough so that was ok, but there were a couple minor things that got lost in the shuffle of having three different waitresses. For example one waitress said the brownie came with ice cream, but the other waitress brought it out without ice cream. Then I saw the waitress that took our order see it didn’t come out with ice cream, so she went back and tried to get us some but the kitchen was overloaded and it took quite a while to get the ice cream and when they did bring it out it was half melted already. We also had some minor issues with the staff not understanding the kids menu fully, no need to go into those details. All in all the staff was very friendly and did a great job giving the circumstances but given the price point and the fact that they explicitly solicit gratuities (unless most of the rest of Mallorca) I expected more, so 4 stars for Service.

Food: This where the lowest rating comes in. It’s really just more about value here, nothing was bad, per se, but all the dishes were ordered just didn’t have a lot of flavor and nothing was exceptional or memorable. Given the price point, I would have expected something much better and more memorable food-wise. It was rather bland. We had way better food at much lower prices in...

Worst experience in a restaurant that is supposed to be classy and good quality. We had a table booked for midday for lunch. The staff was welcoming, polite and friendly. They let us choose the table which we really liked. They made some recommendations for food and brought all drinks and food promptly.

It all started wrong when they brought my tuna steak cold, so I asked them to change it or heat it, It was well cooked but cold. They brought a new one but it was just a bit warm so not to ruin our lunch I ate it . In my view as dinner was served to exterior the plate should have been heated so food does not go cold. They brought the dish quickly but the quality wasn't good. I'm not a fussy person but I don't think this is what you expect from a high end restaurant and a competent cheff in the kitchen.

Furthermore, we ordered sparkling water and they brought a bottle with two cups and one of the cups completely stank to egg so I couldn't drink it.

Then we ordered a dessert that included berries and they brought it with berries that were off and it was clearly visible outside and I side the berries. They clearly seen it as they tried to covere it with icing powder. This completely put us off from having it. They replaced the dessert but my lunch was completely ruined. The waiter did apologise but he did not offer any in compensation or manager presence. There was neither a reduction in the final bill.

Finally we ordered the bill and there was a charge of €19 for the water. 1 bottle that made two glasses of water €19?? So I asked the waiter and he apologised and he asked if i wanted the refund in cash ? So that just gave me the impression that they knew about the mistake and the charge and maybe they thought that we would't notice which I think is really disgracefull.

The view was lovely and the hotel looked really nice but I will not come back or recommend...

Let me start by saying the view is incredible. The bread, olive, and sun-dried tomato dip were also very delicious.

I, however, feel like the service fell short of what one would expect from a restaurant in a famous and well known five star hotel. I called ahead and asked if I could have my 3pm reservation moved to 2pm and was told that it wouldn’t be a problem, I’m guessing that the message wasn’t relayed to whomever is responsible for seating because I was made to wait for 30 minutes in the blistering heat until a table was cleared. All the while people arriving after me were being seated promptly. I was asked to sit in a table at the outskirts of the restaurant, half in the sun on a very hot day, the maitre de walked up to me and my wife after I asked for a seat in the shade and told us we had a arrived too early, than waved me off when I told him I had called ahead.

My almost empty appetizer (I had 1.5 croquettes left on one plate) plates sat on my table untouched for at least 15-20 minutes and when I asked the server why nobody cleared the plates and why the main courses weren’t here yet, he started arguing with me about how much time he thought the food has actually been on the table! Tables that had arrived just before me and after me had already had their main courses served, and their tables cleared. None of them had to flag down servers to prompt them, none of them had to argue with anyone. If I could sum up the experience I would say that the food was okay, the atmosphere was very nice, but the service was not befitting a restaurant of the caliber that one would expect from Belmond hotel, I did not feel welcome and I felt like my presence was a burden on the staff. Leave this restaurant to the people staying in the hotel or those without Muslim-sounding names. Deia has...
