Sa Fonda — Restaurant in Deià

We had been for a drink on our first day here, it was a lovely terrace, chilled vibes, frozen margarita was terrible but the ease, my partner's cold beer was good and sun made up for it, we were just looking for an afternoon drink and it did the job. Food coming out looked standard burger and chips mostly, also looked fine for what it was. However on our last night, there was a fun sounding band, we went to pay the cash entrance fee to the lady at the entrance and was told no more entry, however immediately after us, let 3 people in, when I saw this and poked at the lady on the entrance she just glared at me. We felt really unwelcome, unsure why we weren't allowed in, our first guess is because we were tourists and so not the preferred clientele for the evening. We were dressed nicely as it was our anniversary evening that night too, so I don't think it was that, but it just put a real dampener and left a bad taste on our evening. Main message I think, very unwelcoming to tourists for somewhere that is very average on food and drink compared to the rest of Deia, but does sound like they host some good bands, you just won't...

It’s really a shame that the service is so bad because it is a nice place where you want to stay for a little longer. You arrive and you just stay there, no one comes to meet you and no one talks to you if you don’t talk to them, and even then it’s like you’re disturbing. We had to wait for a bit but it was fine. We had lunch here and almost finishing comes a lady named Mar out of nowhere, completely unannounced and takes the dishes, no hello, no how’s everything, just takes everything. I started watching her and noticed that all the customers were uncomfortable while she was at their tables, I really didn’t enjoy and her colleagues said that she a bad waitress. If I could give this place a zero I would. I have to give the food a one star but I can’t actually say what it’s like because we were never served. We arrived and asked for a table. The waiters were rude right from the start but we sat down and then waited 40 minutes to be served before we left. I asked politely 20 minutes into waiting if we could order and was ignored. Two other tables left before us.
