Fantastic sea food place, with outdoor seating. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the menu isn't necessarily pricey (unless you start ordering lobster etc.). Sharing platters are great. There is a large TV indoors where some people watched football (Spanish league). There's a really good atmosphere in this place. Very fond memories of this meal and evening. This restaurant seems to own the town, by the way, with about 6 branches scattered around offering different atmospheres. You can buy your seafood there in bulk to take home (cooked or uncooked) and they also deliver. Amazing.

Habíamos escuchado la fama de Romerijo y su sistema de comprar el marisco o pescado al peso y comertelo luego y teníamos que probarlo. Total decepción primero por la calidad ya que algunos de los mariscos se notaban no eran del día o recien cocidos, por ejemplo las cañaillas o las bocas, los langostinos, todo muy seco y sin sabor. Según por los precios ya que esperas buena calidad cuando pagas lo que pagas. Sólo se salvaron las cigalas que si estaban jugosas. Por otro lado se pasaron en el tiempo de fritura y salido todo muy negro con sabor a refrito, quizás el aceite llevaba tiempo sin cambiar, lo cierto es que sólo se salvó el cazón en adobo, era lo único que tenía algo de sabor diferente. Todo el resto del pescado, puntillas y choco, etc sabía a harina refrita. No volveremos a ir, pecamos de novatos y lo pagamos bien pagado. Se me olvidó añadir el Ticket donde se puede observar el Kg de cañaillas a 82€/kg y no me quejo de la calidad "innegociable" de los productos, pero si de la preparación, tanto del marisco cocido que estaba seco y de la fritura que estaba demasiado frita o realizada en aceite muy utilizado. También y dado el precio de las Cañaillas podrían facilitar otro utensilio para pocer sacar el interior, no un simple palillo que se partía al intentar sacar el producto. Si hubiéramos informado o devuelto todo lo que no nos gustó, sólo nos hubiéramos comido las cigalas.

Establecimiento icónico de la ciudad y castizo donde los haya, teníamos reserva y al llegar pasamos de inmediato. Servicio atento, pero forzado. No tenían en cuenta tiempos en mesa para marchar platos, cierto es, que iban saliendo en orden establecido, pero sin control alguno. Tuvimos que parar hasta en tres ocasiones el pescado a la plancha obteniendo como última respuesta por parte del camarero que nos atendía que iba a secarse en exceso. Ni que decir tiene, que fue una respuesta fuera de lugar, ya que se dio pie a esa situación como resultado de un mal servicio. Comenzamos con una mariscada individual compuesta por cañaíllas, langostinos rayados, gambas, cigalas, quisquillas y langosta. Todo bueno y en su punto justo de cocción. Seguidamente, cominos calamares fritos, con punto de fritura correcto, tiernos y sabrosos y gallo empanado, con empanado no muy fino, pero agradable al paladar y el sabor del pescado destacable. Para finalizar pedimos un gallo a la plancha, plato que hice alusión previamente a que marcharon sin tener en cuenta tiempos, haciendo que finalmente pescado perdiese calidad quedando bastante seco. No obstante de sabor estaba muy bueno. Si quieren comer pescado y/o marisco a precio razonable, este es el lugar acertado.

I come from seafood place, And i want to tell you that the seafood should not boiled and leave in the fridge. The test of the seafood it's bitter taste, especially the crab and robster, and how can call that fresh seafood? Not !!! It's the seafood boiled already and keep cool. You should make steam that it make more test. And i can feel fishy smell too. I'll also advise you that you need a sauce, like lemon sauce, to get rid of the fishy smell. and the bitter taste of sea food

The wost time to ruine my vacation. The food is acceptable and fine .. BUT the they have the most impolite waiters. Not one , not two.. but three different unpolite persons around . Ar first I thought its personal for me ot they have and issue with me but after focusing this was with every one around . Order delays more than 25 minutes. Wrong orders . And when you ask for the right order he looks unary like its my fault , then we decide to not have deserts or coffee and leave , we asked for the bill and comes after 30 minutes and after asking 4 times. Visited this place as it was recommended in the Lonely Planet for its fried fish - unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The food was nice (I've had better to be honest but no real complaints) but the service was very poor. After being seated and told by the waiter that he would be back in a few minutes to take our order, we were then left for 20 minutes. I had to go and find someone to take our food and drinks order and request a high chair for our daughter. They also forgot part of our order yet still tried to charge us for it...
