Etel&pan is a delightful little locally sourced restaurant that lives up to it’s tagline, “honest and slow food,” in the best way possible. Not only was everything that we tried delicious, the staff were very kind and the atmosphere was pleasant. Having tried patatas bravas more times than I can count while traveling in Spain, I can say without reservation, these were the best of the best. The dish consisted of freshly fried potatoes with a house-made black garlic alioli sauce and the traditional red pepper bravas sauce. Truly delightful. Per staff recommendation I tried the caneliñas burger, made from Galician caught mackerel and served on an artisan sourdough bun with caramelized onions and the aforementioned and truly inspired black garlic aioli. The flavor combination was well balanced, and while I found the bread to filling ratio to be a little bread heavy, the generous amount of aioli saved it from being too dry. Everything about this place, from flavor combinations to presentation, felt thoughtful and pleasant. While different from what you’d normally find at most traditional restaurants in Finesterre, it still manages to keep quality local products a central focus. For my plant based friends, there are a few good veggie and vegan options. 4.5 ⭐️

I like this place. Tucked away on a little square, just able to see the harbour from the first floor window. Friendly staff which is great. Lovely food. I had a veggie burger but the meat ones looked just as appealing. Very tasty buns. Prompt service without hassling. Good with the 3 noisy kids in our group (3,5,8). If this were in the UK it would be full of trendy hipsters...... Fortunately not the case in finnisterre. I was impressed. Why did it not get 5 stars? I guess I'm being pedantic..... We would have liked to have sat outside but all the tables were full. More tables outside would have gained the extra star. Maybe I will go back next week if the weather is nice and have another try. So to conclude. This was a lovely meal. Good food. Good service. Good surroundings. Give it a try.

Long wait but great gluten-free chicken sandwich with honey mustard awaited me at the end. Outdoor tables and a sweet upstairs where you can eat as well. So happy they had gluten free bread to accommodate me, but if you don't have food restrictions the artisanal buns the burgers were served on looked amazing. My friend ordered the "fries" with alioli and they came out looking way better/more homemade than your typical greasy fries. Friend said they were great. Vegan ice cream also an option for dessert and they had several vegetarian options on the menu in general.

FOOD: Perfect place for lunch or dinner ! Delicious traditional food made with love paying attention to the details. With only organic ingredients, you can feel the quality from the first bite. With vegetarian options! The portions are big so we couldn't finish everything and they served nicely for take away including forks :).

PLACE: The atmosphere is as good as the food, you feel relaxed as soon as you step in. Perfect light and nice books in the shelves about the food, history and people of the area

STUFF: We arrived on Monday at 10.30pm and both waiters were super nice with us, they even spend around 30 minutes after the closing time helping us to organise our journey around the area - The guy is photographer so he really knows about the best spots and light :)

Definetely one of the best places we have been around this area, highly...

We were very fortunate to come across this delightful little place. We had lunch on the first occasion and eve meal on second. Mainly burger with good quality ingredients. I had a mackerel burger (wonderful!), my husband had a beef burger (wonderful). Both also had fabulous local bread and the large salad we shared was outstanding too. It was packed with fresh ingredients- all the ones I love - avocado, the sweetest fresh tomatoes, walnuts, seeds lettuce and local crumbly cheese , bit like feta but nicer. So good we went there the following evening after we’d watched the sunset up at Fisterre lighthouse. The staff were lovely (husband works evenings and wife during day as have two young children). Such a lovely place with fresh, local ingredients. Wine and beer good too. We highly recommend Etel & Pan. I’m sure you won’t...
