After visiting Fogo in Duquesa last year, me and my sister were very excited that Fogo Fuengirola had their opening night on our last night of our week long holiday. So we booked a table for 20:30. Being opening night we were prepared for a couple of hiccups but we did not expect to still be waiting for a food at 22:00. There were only 2 tables occupied when we arrived so that should have been a red flag! Our drinks order was taken promptly, one white and one red wine, and a jug of water. Then our food orders were taken, 2 beef skewers with a side of prawns. 21:10 ish, the young waiter came to check whether everything was ok with our food, explained we had not had anything yet. He apologised and explained they had issues with the till system so brought us another round of drinks on the house, fine, we expected small teething problems. The young man said our food would be around 10/15 minutes. 5 minutes later the prawns arrived, so we ate them, as by this point we were very hungry. 21:30 a beef fillet steak was brought to our table, explained we did not order it. The waiter said could we have this instead of the food we ordered, on the house. Explained no, we would like what we ordered! Again, this would be another 10/15 minutes. By 22:00 no more food arrived at our table, the waiter explained there was a problem with the till, but if they could put through the prawns and fillet steak then that seems like a human error to me and no one would take responsibility for their mistakes. We finished our wines and left without paying to go on the hunt for some tea. 4 other tables also walked out whilst we were there, mid meal, as their chicken was dry and their chips cold, again not a...

Hard to give a poor review. Food was excellent, panko prawns starter, Steak cooked perfectly, mine with corn on cob and sweet potato fries, Wifes with vegetables and Portuguese potatoes but after that it all went Pete Tong. On arrival the table we'd reserved was occupied, so we moved. Took an age to get some drinks, same when removing starters plates etc, steak knives brought but had to use other sides cutlery. Tried numerous times to catch waitresses eye for more drinks, in end caught waiter as he served next table after about 5 minutes. After the main course we waited another 5 minutes plus for a dessert menu, finally caught attention but girl brought bill. By this time I was fuming so paid and collared the manager. The problem? Couldn't get off her phone, from us arriving to us leaving, never lifted her head, never scanned the room, 2 different tables before had trouble paying due to it. I'd have fired her, your either a waitress or a social media guru. So good food, poor service, sorry.

We had such a lovely experience at FOGO Restaurant here in Spain! I came with my husband and our daughter, and everything from the food to the service was fantastic. We ordered the paella and the octopus, and both dishes were full of flavor — perfectly cooked and beautifully served.

The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff who made us feel at home. Our daughter also enjoyed the meal, which says a lot! It’s a great place for families or couples who want to enjoy delicious Spanish food in a relaxed setting.
