Korean BBQ Gogi — Restaurant in Fuengirola

The food was really good, the service was too. I ordered bibimbap and bulgogi and yes, it takes some time before you get the food but there's only 1 person cooking everything freshly, so obviously it will take longer, people are very unreasonable with the reviews here. Furthermore the people who run the restaurant are Chinese but not that it matters since the food is still very good and close to authentic Korean food. There was somewhat of a language barrier but from their perspective, I understand that learning; Spanish, English and having their own language isn't easy, nevertheless it all worked out fine. Looked like a nice place, looked at the menu outside, chose the food... went inside ordered wine (which was considerably more expensive than other places in the area) When we went to order, the food was about 22% more expensive than on the board outside. On mentioning it to the waitress, she explained that the menu outside was 2 years old, which she thought was perfectly acceptable... in my eyes this is total deception.. luckily I found out before ordering and not after. Needless to say we left. Had the price been the same on the board outside we would still have eaten there, but its totally wrong to mislead in this manner and I would not give them business due to...

If you're looking for an authentic Korean experience... this ain't it. That said, it's not necessarily a bad thing -- the food is actually quite good, and both my wife and I enjoyed it. We ordered the soybean stew (된장 찌개), kimchi, and bulgogi and it was both tasty and plentiful; maybe a little on the salty side, but overall we were satisfied. Service was very friendly and nice, too, although the dishes did take a long time to prepare -- I think it took about half an our for the stew, and then another half an hour or so for bulgogi to come out.

We'll definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu (also the post-meal icecream chocolates they offered us...
