Please read the response from Lorena ( I did not complain about the food ) What a shame. This was a great cafe bar to eat drink and chat.It now seems that you have to order your food and drinks via an app this has now taken away the relaxation of popping out to Lorena for an evening with friends and family as you are now a staff member with no pay.( but they do not want you to know that )The question is where is the member of staff who would normally take your order ? It's not hard to work out because we all know it's all about the profit. We actually crossed the road from Lorena and had a very nice evening in a tapas bar in the corner of the square with very nice staff food and service WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE STAFF OF LORENA FOR THEIR SERVICE TO DATE AND WE REALISE THAT THIS IS A VERY DIFFICULT TIME WITH THESE NEW ONGOING ISSUES AND WE DO HOPE THAT SERVICE RETURNS TO NORMAL VERY SOON What is really sad is that the regular customers that have supported you over the years are now not able to deal with apps and order online and also not able to review your decision to only order via the Internet Perhaps you should consider this and have a little...
Read moreWe tried this restaurant two days in a row. On the first day, we had lunch around 2 PM. On the second day, we came around 12:30 PM. Both days, we ordered similar dishes, mainly the Caesar salad. The Caesar salad on the first day made me want to come back the next day.
However, the second day was less enjoyable. First, my wife ordered a poke tuna bowl, but the tuna had a strange color, and she couldn’t eat it. My Caesar salad had way too much dressing — unlike the first day, when it had a good amount of cheese, this time it had almost no cheese and far too much dressing. It wasn’t bad, but I don’t think I’d eat it again.
For our daughter, we ordered fried chicken. Out of five pieces, one was undercooked — almost pink inside — while the other four were fine.
The service was also disappointing. When you enter, you just sit at a table. On the first day, someone greeted us right away. On the second day, no one came over. We thought we had to order through the QR code on the table, but when we started to check the app, a waitress finally came to ask if we wanted to order through her or via the app. We ordered through her, but it still felt a bit confusing.
Our plan was to head across the street to the café on the opposite corner afterward. Overall, it’s an interesting experience, but you can tell it’s a very tourist-oriented place — not really meant for locals. The quality of the food isn’t consistent. The quality of the service isn’t consistent. For us, the experience has been disappointing, and it’s not a place I could recommend.
I don’t think I’d visit it a third time. And if I ever did, I’d probably just stick to something simple, like a Coke.
Read moreFood is always good but the service is awful. I know that they are busy, so they forget to give you cutleries, and salad dressing BUT the waitress get annoyed because you have to ask for it plus I have to ask for a small plate for my little one. Waiting time for the burger is at least 40 min. but two or three tables that came after us, was served first. I don't get that.
We we're served once by a waiter, he was really nice and service oriented. Left a little bit of tip, but to the awful ones, mostly the waitress, I don't want to give them a penny, and worse I don't want to go back...
