On arrival the staff appeared to be friendly and spoke good English. First impressions were that there was a lot of choice and everything looked good. However, the majority of the food we tried was either tasteless or heavy with salt and garlic. Chicken wings were still pink at the bone and inedible. The ribs were great, really tasty but otherwise the food was mediocre at best. There were no lables indicating what each dish was and nothing to advise of any allergin's present. Upon asking the Owner/ Manager If there were any desserts available that were dairy free. We were told that that there was plenty of fruit. After a mediocre meal, fruit was not what u want, but we accepted this and decided to try else where for a dessert. On paying, I suggested that due to the lack of alternative options for someone with an allergy that a small amount be deducted from the bill. (It's a set payment for 3 courses, and we only had one course) . Didn't think this was an unreasonable request! The manager suddenly became confused and her understanding of the English language disappeared. Telling me that she didn't understand what I was saying. She became very rude and raised her voice at me. Will definitely not be returning and don't recommend this...
Read moreThis place is ok but I would not go back. The kind of buffet where it is self service so you see a lot of people handling things and you are crowded when making selections. Not really seafood, more a mix of things. Lots of the "hot" food was cold and had been out a long time. I went on my own and they seated me at a really big table with plats of someone else's half finished food on it. I queried this and they told me it was their family table/ for the workers, which was a bit weird but ok. But then they seated another family of customers there with me which was awkward as I was the only seat not in their group. The table is a central turntable too, so I was left with a really small place to put my own dishes as the family were using/moving the turntable. Overall felt rushed, awkward, and...
Read moreHonestly, this is one of the best 'all you can eat' restaurants I've been to. It's Chinese-style, so there's the typical lemon chicken, duck, ribs, noodles, etc., type dishes. However, in addition to this they have some quite respectable sushi & they will also grill: fresh squid, fish, prawns, and steak. For the price and location, this really is a good night out.
I should also note that the waitress this evening was super: she was very friendly and ensured we always had what we needed - including some very reasonably priced (and really quite OK) white wine. I would definitely recommend here if you're looking for a fun,...
