Surprisingly solid restaurant! Yes, it's touristy, but for once, a place like this was the opposite of disappointing!

We booked randomly after walking by and seeing the interior and menu. It was only about 60 min before our reso that I looked at the reviews, and suddenly got very worried as we're both very picky about Asian food (even fusion). We told each other, okay, just one small dish and we'll go somewhere else for dinner.

Well, firstly, nothing here is small. Size means nothing. Which, if you're looking to be satisfied, you're in the right place. Absolutely filling. We couldn't have fit anything else in if we tried.

And, honestly, it was seriously tasty. I do not understand what other reviews are talking about. I can only assume they ordered the wrong dishes. (Advice: never order pad thai anywhere except dedicated Thai restaurants, imo.) Both the plates we ordered were excellent.

The lamb koftas were massive and perfectly cooked. Juicy and flavourful. (Overcooked kofta is terrible.) The steak tartare was probably some of the best we've had, and the size was enormous and with very pleasant presentation.

My only complaint was that there weren't enough pita to match the amount of kofta. It was easy to make small little pita bites. Each part of the plate was complementary to the other parts and it works very well as a whole.

Service was attentive and friendly. Decor is amazing. Music was an eclectic mix of international styles. And, ngl, the birdsong and forest sounds in the toilets were a really nice touch.

The tables are a little close together and unfortunately we had a rather annoying couple next to us. We were so close we had to listen to his chewing mouth wide open and smacking his mouth, as well as deal with his dancing and loud talking. I understand they need to fit a lot of customers in to make a living in such a touristy area, but it did feel a bit cramped.

All in all, it was significantly better than we expected and a very...

I went to Andalusia for a month in the spring with my family and most of the restaurants we went to ranged from bad to just alright. This is an outstanding exception. We went for lunch and Pedro helped us to our table and showed us incredible generosity. I'm the only Spanish speaker in my family but despite his lack of English he tried to make the others feel included in conversations as well. The rest of the staff were equally inviting; everything felt like we weren't just customers but warmly-welcomed guests in their restaurant. We got free drinks to start and the wine I ordered was amazing (they have a great collection of fine Riojas and Riberas). The ambience is very themed in what feels like a tasteful version of the Rainforest Cafe for any fellow Americans who have been to one. Luckily, the food was far better than the Rainforest Cafe and it felt like iit was really taking asian fusion seriously while also incorporating the best elements of Spanish food. There was some staff reorganization that day (they seemed to not be very busy for lunch) and as an apology for the slight chaos, we were brought a free desert even though the change did not inconvenience us at all. Please check this restaurant out; they deserve all the business...

We‘ve been there tonight. The beginning was promising with Crema de Calabacín as “greetings from the kitchen”. Afterwards unfortunately the Bao Buns were sold out, so we decided to go for the Wok Verde and the Solomillo de Atún. Beside the waiting time which is just okay even if the restaurant is not that big I can say the following for the mains: The Wok Verde was far from spicy, the called gambas were shrimps and also maximum a handful. I know it’s more or less based on small dishes, but for the shrimp size it’s too less even for this kind of a dish and we expected gambas. Overall also the flavour, for the way they want to present it, is not really on point at least for our liking. The tuna is not low priced which raises expectations for a dish. But we received a piece tuna which doesn’t met these expectations. For sure there are different parts of a fish and you are not able to influence the fish itself, but for this price please select another tuna and/or another part of it. After these mains we decided to skip the desserts so no review for it.

The ambient and the staff with the greetings of the kitchen is great, so in total I will rate only 2 stars and unfortunately can not share the experiences of the...

Just because a restaurant is called “fine food” doesn’t make it fine food. Amazonia is a restaurant that could’ve been great, the menu and place looked tempting — but didn’t live up to expectations. We ordered the pork bao, the lamb kafta and the seared tuna… and the best thing of the whole meal was the free salmorejo that they brought us to begin the meal. For the rest — nothing extraordinary, very overpriced for the town, overrated and it left us with the feeling of being ripped off. The waiter was polite, but it felt disingenuous. The decor is nice, but there’s no atmosphere. The bao was just alright, not particularly flavorful. The tuna was alright, veggies were lovely but overall quite bland. The kafta was okay— but again, nothing compared to the Lebanese restaurant that will charge you 3 x less. It wants to be fancy but is missing the mark for us. The final touch was when the bill came — our waiter said they did not accept tips by card. When we asked why, he said that “if left by card, tips go to the chef” and he clearly did not want that. Bad vibes for me. Nothing terrible but nothing great, and 1.5 / 2 x the price of what you will find in town. Would not recommend.

We went into Amazonia during a blustery cold and rainy October night. Luckily, Pedro allowed us in without a reservation. He would eventually turn away other couples throughout the night, so we definitely got lucky. Make sure to make a reservation first! The atmosphere inside was stunning with: Tiki decorations, monkeys, birds, beautiful hardwoods, colourful straw ceilings, broken wine boxes for walls and beautifully subdued night lighting. I would generally describe the atmosphere as a really cool unique chill vibe! I had the lamb skewers. The lamb was cooked a perfect medium rare, the naan was freshly baked and the salad and yogurt sauce accompanied the dish perfectly. My girlfriend had the pad Thai, and she must have found it amazing because she barely said anything through the meal. From what she left me, the Iberian pork was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Pedro was also always around to get another wine/cocktail. Pedro was a great host and we had a wonderful talk in broken-Spanish about how beautiful Granada is and how his restaurant was the most enjoyable place to eat!
