La Cueva de 1900 / Plaza Nueva — Restaurant in Granada

Absolutely "The Worst Restaurant Experience" I had in my 6 months trip to europe. I have been to 11 countries and 21 cities and I can definitely say that this was my worst restaurant ever. Even 1 star is a waste :)

Served extremely late.

The family who arrived at the exactly same time with us got drinks and foods when we got no drinks. And the family who arrived 30 minutes later than us got foods and drinks at the same time with us.

Why the drinks took more than 30 minutes to be served?????

The staff even got the wrong order.

They mistook the menu which I ordered accurately. I wanted to think that they can make some mistakes when they are busy, but I felt really bad about their attitudes.

The glass was dirty as you can see on the picture I attached.

Food was not that special. Very ordinary foods.

We ordered lamb meat (21euros), crispy chicken, and pork with fried potatoes. But nothing was special and quite expensive for its tastes and qualities.

Unhelpful and rude staffs.

They even brought the receipt later than the others who required it later than us. We had to stay there for a long time than any other tables.

It was so disappointing experience in granada because it was our last meal in this city. If you don't want to ruin your great experience seeing Alhambra and other beautiful sceneries, please don't go to this restaurant.

We stopped here randomly after our visit at the Alhambra and I'm glad we did. When we got there in the evening, there was just 1 table occupied, but after we were seated, it filled up soon.

The waiters were OK, they do ask you if you are there for drinks or food, which we did not mind (cause they need to know to set the table or not). They were able to communicate in English.

The portions here are quite big, we did not expect that. The food was super good and flavourful. They served us a free starter with some cold cuts that were good too, but different than what I've had before.

We really liked the assorted croquettes (do get them), the slow cooked pork cheeks, pork with white sauce and the chicken skewers. The Burger and ribs were good, but not amazing. The Sangria was good and I really enjoyed the Vermouth.

Foe dessert, we got the White chocolate soup and Tiramisu.

Overall, a great visit, would have ordered less if we knew the portions...

Unfortunately we didn’t have a very good experience here. We came in for some breakfast, it was rather busy and the main (and only) waiter on the floor seemed swept off his feet! After quite some time, we ordered drinks and we thought the waiter said he would be back for our food order. Then a very long time later we received our drinks (the table next to us had ordered just before us, they had received and finished their food and drinks, paid their bill and left before we even got them) but it wasn’t what we had ordered we tried to get his attention to change it and order food but he was too distracted. Because everything took too long we decided to go elsewhere. Went to pay the bill and it had the right order so there was a mix up somewhere, we made sure we paid for what we did have and left to go eat somewhere else, where the service...
