Perhaps if we came at a less busy time it wouldn’t be as much of a concern, but I’m afraid it wasn’t busy enough (or big enough of an establishment) to warrant the kind of service we got today.
My boyfriend and I were looking forward to trying this place out as I’m also a big fan of coffee. We stood at the door for 5-10 minutes and didn’t get seated for a while despite there being numerous empty tables. We could tell they were busy at the moment, so we decided to sit down at one of the empty tables to take a look at the menu so we could order something once the servers were ready. For another 15-20 minutes, the servers passed by us, visibly saw us, but didn’t even say “hi” or “I’ll be with you in a minute”. We weren’t in a rush and would have been more than happy to wait - but not even being ADDRESSED for this long at such a small cafe was a bit ridiculous.
I also noticed that the couple next to us had ordered a coffee, and within less than 5 minutes after receiving the coffee, the female server told them they would have to hurry up because there was another bigger party waiting for a table.
Ended up leaving without any acknowledgement from any servers as we thought it was quite outrageous - if you don’t know how to handle the number of tables in the cafe when it’s at its max, it’s quite incompetent. Wish I could comment on the food, but unfortunately didn’t even get the...
Read moreI spent four wonderful and productive hours here on a Thursday. So many interesting and delicious menu options, it is obvious how well the owner, Alba, understands food and coffee at an organic and fair trade level, but also in taste and flavor. Alba is friendly with everyone and even some of her own friends stop by, which shows what kind of community within her cafe she has built here. I had the best sobrasada and honey sandwich I have ever had (I order sobrasada all over Spain), all the cold/hot drink options were great, and the gluten-free brownie was better than I know how to bake myself. Definitely a landmark worth returning to in Granada, whether for the good workplace setup (easy wifi and outlets everywhere) or also just for a great breakfast or brunch! Muchas...
Read moreCoffee was fine, can’t complain! We ordered three different types of toasts: scrambled eggs: totally blend, just some eggs on piece of bread.. wow? Tasteless tomato: thin slices of tomatoes, I would never recommend this or ever order it. Awful! The cheapest thing ever and zero effort. fresh cheese with berries: if that was cheese I’d like to know which type as it tasted NOTHING
Overall experience: fine! I feel kinda full to head out and explore the day, could the breakfast has been better or me already tried several of other places in the city that beats this place: YES!
That poor company next to us only got the edges of the bread loaf meaning way smaller portions.. I feel bad for them
Only go for coffee...
