Taberna Maritima Agua y Sal — Restaurant in Guía de Isora

Very bad experience! The place is nice and the food good, but there is a big BUT.....the waiters are extremly rude and arrogant, First time was OK even if the waiter did not inform us that we have to go inside to order the food and he placed us to an other table . The food tasted well and we decided to come for a second time. There were available two tabels outside each for two persons, We were three, two adults and one child, Last time the waiter moved us to such a table so we asked if t is ok to sit down,. The waiter, an other one,,, told us that it was not possible as the police would come as the people walking by can not pass.....it was a little bit strange as they put us there the first time, but we understood that. We did not want to sit inside as it was extremly crowded,, no security distance there,,,,,,,and the pandemy is still here. So we told the waiter that it is OK for us to sit two at one table and the third person at the other table. As we came to eat mid day we could not see any problem in it and none of the tables was reserved. But the waiter told us in a very arrogant way that it is absolutly not possible that there must be 4 people for that......... What should a singel person do? Or why not ask us to wait a while until a bigger table will be available? We would gladly do that. As it is now there is only a big frustration and a destroyed day as we came to Playa San Juan only for this lunch........this experience we can for sure not...

We recently visited Taberna Maritima Agua y Sal and were thoroughly impressed by the quality of their seafood and fish, which were exceptionally fresh. This was my 4th time at this restaurant as a seafood fun I enjoy variety of seafood! There always was a good service apart previous time they missed one order but never mind and this time too.. when I asked for bill and mentioned that my calamari never arrived we already ate salad, soup, tuna stake. He decided to go and being calamari in take away box and include it in the bill. I felt it was very rude first not to ask if I still would like it, not apologies for missing order, not giving option if I would like to if in restaurant.. he just decided to send me home with food 😅 when I said sorry but I like calamari to eat hot and since it wasn’t on time I been shouted that this is no macdonald ( not sure how it’s there as never ate too much enjoy nice restaurants) he knew very clearly he done mistake never apologies angry passed to other colleague to deal and walked away. WOW

And 2nd to mention it started by taking our order and in the middle answering phone and talking for 10mins again no apologies just left as standing there by seafood counter and me with baby on hands..

And lastly the calamari he lifted was still frozen unfortunately not everything is straight from the sea more from freezer..

Such a shame when nice place is ruined by service… which makes me don’t want to come back and do not...
