What a lovely experience we've had this evening at Ayutthaya Thai!

The food was exceptional - well marinated meats, beautifully cooked to perfection with a lovely presentation too.

The service was also brilliant, with the staff giving excellent food suggestions, professional and friendly. Food arrived quickly.

Atmosphere was very nice too. Wednesday evening and we were lucky to have a table for two without booking. The other clients all seemed equally pleased and there was a nice, warm ambience about the place, making it feel very welcoming and comfortable.

I highly recommend reserving beforehand. Well definitely be returning, with a reservation and will be ordering the gustación, which includes 7 rounds, so needs to start earlier on the evening to have sufficient pauses between servings.

We really wanted to like this Thai restaurant and gave it three chances, as we live nearby and hoped to find a great local spot. Unfortunately, we left disappointed every time.

The menu sounds authentic, but the food just doesn’t taste as traditional as described. It’s not bad, but it’s far from what you’d expect from genuine Thai cuisine.

The biggest issue, however, is the service. On all three visits, there were order mistakes – either the wrong dish was brought or key ingredients were missing. When we politely pointed this out, the staff reacted with clear irritation, as if it were our fault. This unfriendly attitude really took away from the dining experience.

We now prefer to drive a bit further to Alicante or Torrevieja, where we’ve found truly authentic Thai restaurants with warm, welcoming service.

Simplemente de 10. Fuimos a cenar mi marido y yo, no lo conocíamos pero nos pillaba cerca de casa, así que fuimos y resultó todo un acierto. Nos dejamos recomendar por la camarera ( por cierto, majísima y muy atenta) y quedamos encantados. La recomendación fue la siguiente : Massaman de Curry, que es una especie de cremita con patata y gambas muy rica con sabor a coco, un arroz de coco y unos tallarines fritos con pollo ( pad Thai). Pensaba que me iba a quedar con hambre ( somos de buen comer), pero no, quedó el hueco justo para el postre. La camarera de nuevo nos recomendó el postre de mango y el plátano frito. El plátano lo sirven con helado de vainilla, estaba espectacular, me lo comí enterito, el rebozado era un pocoas grueso de lo esperado pero, mmm ¡Qué rico!, El postre de mango se acompañaba con un arrocito como infusionado, según nos explicó la chica, era infusionado con una flor, que era la que le daba un delicado sabor dulce al arroz. A mí no me gusta el mango pero a mí marido le gustó mucho. Todo buenísimo, la verdad es que disfrutamos mucho de la cena porque además de la comida en sí, el lugar es muy agradable y tranquilo. Al final, con 3 vinos y un agua grande salimos por 52€. Un precio más que correcto en mi opinión. A la hora de pagar quisimos pagar con tarjeta y nos dijeron que no tenían para pago con tarjeta, ningún problema porque rápidamente nos ofreció la posibilidad de pagar por bizum, así que genial.
