Los Berones Restaurante — Restaurant in Haro

It's a real shame that this resturant has declined in food and standards. We visited in October 2024 and the first 4 pictures show an amazing well presented and very tasty meal, there are no pics of last nights meal as we were so disappointed. We ordered the crocettas and chicken curry pastys whish they are renowned for, we only recieved the crocetta which was tasty but very small. We both ordered the steak which my wife had noticed had been cooked before we recieved the starter, so needless to say when we were served them they where cold, we sent them back and when they came back I got my wife's and her mine, they were just say warm, the steak was cooked to our request medium rare, the fries looked like they were reheated from a previous service, the green peppers and red pepper were ok. When the server asked my wife how the food was she told him she was Disappointed and he looked surprised. We finished with coffee and the total bill was €85 for 2 they also tried to charge us for the chicken and curry pasty which we finally got removed. Overall the service was poor, the food was poor the best thing was the wine. The restaurant was only half full but the chef struggled to keep pace we we not offered any form of compensation such as a free coffee or desert whichmayhave softened the hearty price tag. We will not be booking there again...

We had a dinner on the weekend, it was really crowdy, so we were stupid enough to have chosen to eat here. The waiter came up to us to get the order and we asked if it's possible to order one steak to share, he said for sure, so we ordered. 20 minutes later they brought us two steaks, which was a surprise but the waiter ignored us and we were very hungry, so started eating. Just to mention, the waiter was quite rude and couldn't make up a better answer than "I don't know what you like" to the question "which wine can you recommend as an addition to the steak?". No help with the choice and careless attitude. The plates were just thrown at the table and to make things worth when we received the bill, there was one extra glass of wine and for sure, two steaks. Sorry for any mistakes, i am still furious about this experience, so just want to make sure less...

Lack of attention and high prices! Chaotic carless bartender and waiters, poured us wine that we didn't ask for by mistake and after pouring us the correct one, she poured back the wine from the glass to the bottle. This is the worst practice ever for those who really understand something about wine tasting. Anyhow she went organizing the quite empty bottles pouring one in the other, I hope she didn't mix the wines. Compared to the neighborhood bars it's exaggeratedly high. Two pinchos and two same wines payed the double of what I've payed 15 minutes later at the most famous bar in the area just entering the street. Food is OK but it has South American...
