El Príncipe — Restaurant in Ibiza

We gladly found it in our search for food a few days ago. Got seated in a very beatyful table directly next to an olivetree. The view and our first impression was just stunning. After a few minutes our waitress asked us wich language we wanted the menu. U can choose between english, italian and spanish. Its a good Menu with typical italian food. - Also the winemenu and the aperitives. On our first visit, we chose the paella with fish and the tagliolini a la frutti di mare. We've been a bit scared, cause we do it fish, but defenetly no seafood at all. -too fishy... but as our food arrived, all our panics flew away. The pasta was freshly made and the paella was just a dream!!!!!! Plenty of seafood!!! Carabinieros, Shrimps, octopus - everything u want!! My girlfriend had her first octopus there and was just speachless. As FRESH as u can imagine!! No fishy taste or smell at all. It was just perfect! Today, after our food a few days ago, we decided to go there again. We read some comments about a "Tourist trap" - NOT AT ALL!!!! The prices are more than good! Today we "just" had a lasagna a la bolognese and some pasta al arrabiata... i NEVER had such a good pasta in my life!!!! Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, the service felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. When my sister sat down and asked for a menu, the waiter stood silently a few meters away without approaching, leaving her to eventually make a remark just to get his attention.

We then had to order drinks from one waiter and food from another, which already felt disorganized. The waiter who took our food order was particularly unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of showing hospitality, he explained in a condescending manner that tagliata is not the same as tagliatelle – which we were, of course, already aware of. When my sister ordered her steak medium, she was asked three times to repeat herself, as the waiter kept insisting on “more” or “less” medium. Finally, he even remarked that her choice was “medium well, not medium,” which felt unnecessarily argumentative and disrespectful.

The food, unfortunately, did not make up for the poor service. My pasta carbonara was served in a heavy cream sauce that had little flavor. This was not a proper carbonara, as cream simply does not belong in the dish. Overall, the food was bland and disappointing.

Primero hay que empezar por las vistas que el restaurante tiene, son insuperables con vistas al mar de Ibiza, más de ahi no hay nada mas bueno. Entramos para comer y nos atendieron y desde ese momento bien, después una pareja de extranjeros llegaron (20 minutos después que nosotros) les atendieron y en 10 minutos tenían la comida ahi, claro, ¿Tengo que ser británico, blanco y con un polo de Ralph Lauren para que te atiendan rápido no? Y para añadir más, las camareras riéndose de la situación de nosotros a lo lejos ¿Acaso no ves que llevamos 1h esperando por la comida? Que el tiempo no es la razón por la que me quejo, es por la PRIORIDAD a otros clientes frente a la mia (que he llegado 20 minutos antes que ellos). Nos llegó la comida y nada destacable, de hecho mala por el precio, una guarnición de espaguetis diminuta, un pollo al curry (ojo, sin curry 😂) y una paella que seguramente estaba congelada y preparada desde hace mucho… Mi familia no se termino la paella y pidió que lo pusieran “para llevar” y nos llega el camarero con un recipiente de cartón, lo normal es que te lo recojan, lo pongan en el recipiente y que cuando pagues te lo den en una bolsa pero la presencia de profesionalidad se ve desde que entras… , y no te lo pierdas.. 17€ por el pollo al curry (sin curry 😅) ni a mi peor enemigo le recomiendo esto, nunca mas. // Después de 1h aproximadamente un familiar mio que comió la paella empezó a vomitar y se enfermó, ¿Envenenaron la paella?
