What a surprise!
FICUS FOOD LAB & RESTAURANT, owned by an Ecuadorian family who have been living in Ibiza for a long time, offers a modern and fresh menu that makes you want to order everything. We tried: the red shrimp croquettes (excellent); the ceviche (excellent); beet and guava ravioli with blue cheese (excellent); fish sautéed in brown butter over Peruvian fried rice (excellent); panacotta with guava (excellent); white wine from the peninsula (excellent). I already said that everything was exquisite?, fresh, prepared not only with love but with savoir-faire, with culinary quality. I must say that this was the best meal of our stay in Ibiza 2022; we come every year to Ibiza, and eating well is part of our experience (not easy to meet).
The place: very modern (opened in July 2021), with open kitchen (you can enjoy watching mom, dad and the two young cooks at work), air-conditioned interior space, and a terrace. Beautiful tableware. No, it does not have a sea view, so it may not be for the fleeting tourist; however the place is filled with local clientele, which is an unmistakable sign of consistent quality.
The service is impeccable, professional. The prices: from the economical menu of the day to prices in the mid-range, in any case super correct price-quality balance.
Congratulations team! In the midst of a general decline of gastronomic quality in Ibiza and in Figueretes in particular (the sector, squeezed by Covid and inflation), this new FICUS proposal is like a fresh rain in the desert. I wish you a lot of success, see you next year!

El restaurant FICUS de una familia ecuatoriana asentada hace mucho en Ibiza ofrece un menú moderno y fresco del que dan ganas de pedirlo todo. Nosotros probamos: las croquetas de gambas rojas (excelentes); el ceviche (excelente); raviolis de remolacha y guayava con queso azul (excelente); pescado salteado en mantequilla brown sobre arroz frito peruano (excelente); panacotta con guayava (excelente); vino blanco de la península (excelente). Ya dije que todo estaba exquisito?, fresco, preparado no solo con amor sino con savoir-faire, con calidad culinaria. Debo decir que esta fue la mejor comida de nuestra estancia en Ibiza 2022; nosotros venimos todos los an~os a Ibiza, y comer bien es parte de nuestra experiencia de las vacaciones (poder comer bien es cada vez menos evidente).
El local: muy moderno (se estrenó en julio 2021), con cocina abierta (puedes disfrutar viendo a mamá, papá y los dos jóvenes cocineros en su labor), el espacio interior con aire acondicionado, y con terraza. Hermosa vajilla. No, no tiene vista al mar, de modo que quizá no sea para el turista fugaz; sin embargo el local se llena con clientela local, lo cual es signo inequívoco de calidad constante.
El servicio impecable, profesional. Los precios: desde el económico menú del día hasta precios en el rango medio, en todo caso un super correcto balance precio-calidad.

Nice welcome but poor service. The waitress made me wait about 30minutes to clear second dish and serve dessert. And that waiting time would have been longer if I had not asked for the check. I was really bothered that all the other tables have been served dessert but mine and the customers who came later than me were prioritized. I don’t know if they favor those who order more drinks or the white people/locals so I felt a bit discriminated. So my advice is for you not to come here if you are not white or local.

I read about this place before heading to Ibiza and I'm so glad we were able to visit on our last day on Tuesday (it's closed on Sundays and Mondays so bear that in mind). The atmosphere, service and food were sublime! My boyfriend isn't fond of seafood but loved everything we had here, including the oysters! The oysters were to die for, highly recommend. All the dishes were fresh and well-seasoned, and very reasonably-priced (unlike the restaurants in the centre of the action) - worth the 10 min taxi ride for sure. I wish I'd had room to try a dessert but left absolutely stuffed. Will definitely return...
