If I could give a 0 start review I would! We went there because they advertise their food for gluten free and celiac safe. WELL, LONG STORY SHORT IT IS ONLY IF YOU ASK. But hey, they are “osteria sin gluten” and they have a massive “sin gluten” on the window!! Anyway, we arrive and order something to drink, I get a gluten free beer and I was really excited about it (ALREADY THIS DOES NOT GIVE AN INDICATION I WANT GLUTEN FREE STUFF?). They give us the menu where there is written “without gluten” everywhere, so we order. I have been in soooo many gluten free and not 100% gluten free restaurants and I know how to deal with my celiac disease, but because it was so clear from the menu, I did not state again I had celiac disease. The food arrives, and thank god I gave only 1 bite to the crocche and 1 to the bread. I then called the waitress to compliment how good the gluten free bread was, it tasted like normal one! She looks at me and goes “ah, but this is normal bread”. WHAT THE HELL, we then asked what had gluten of what we ordered and she said “everything” and at that point I panicked but remained really polite to the person. Anyway, making mistakes is human, right? She asks if I need an ambulance (WEEEELLL, if you got a certification to deal with people with celiac disease, should you not know THAT I CANNTO DO ANYTHING EXCEPT BE SICK LIKE HELL??) and if I want my food remade without gluten. I knew I had 15 min max before hell awakens. And at that point I was already visibly full of rashes. So, I gently decline the offer of food. visual content follows at this point, obviously the puking like if I was in the exorcist starts, we had to wait 1.5h until I was able to finally leave the place and be semi-sure I would not lose half of my stomach and gut on the street (by the way, missing the DJ we really wanted to see that week, thank you also for that.) We go to pay, they did not make me pay my part, but my friend (who can eat gluten) paid for her food (also this, you killed 1/2 of the group that night, maybe they should have not make us pay completely?), at that point the great finale: the waitress while making us pay starts joking about the fact that at the end I did not need an ambulance and she even made the ambulance sound. At that point I was too sick and tired to even answered back, but WHAT??? SERIOUSLY? You just ruined my week of holiday and you even joke about it??? Also, there were only 2 people on top of us eating in the restaurant that evening so it was not even an error because the place was to full. THAT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!! When we left the place, outside we met the owner who bragged about having multiple restaurants on the island and that he got the certification for 100% gluten free. At that point, I explained him all the problems that celiac people have because of gluten and how bad it will be after eating some. He was shocked. HOW DID YOU GET THE CERTIFICATION??? SERIOUSLY NOT EVEN KNOWING THE CONSEQUENCES???? On top of that he tried to pin the fault on the waitress and he said that this happened multiple times because people do not understand that they need to ask for gluten free. IF YOU KNOW THE PROBLEM WHY YOU DO NOT ACT ON IT???? You like to see people getting sick?? And if I had an allergy to gluten and I would have died on your table? The fact that you give me long term problems and I do not directly die there does not make my problem less important. My gluten free community, avoid this place!!! I know it’s difficult to find food,...
