Hostal Las Nieves — Hotel in Ibiza

This hostel is situated in the center of Ibiza Town, to reach the hostel from the airport you can take the Bus L 10 ( costs 3,50 euro 1 way for 1 pax) within 20 mins you will get off at the last stop and 3 mins on foot you will reach it !||||Next to the Hostel you will find all the Bus Stops where you will find all the routes to take you every where in the island.||||Also near the hostel you will find a Minimarket where you can buy food and groceries and many restaurants .||||Friendly Staff (Maria & her mother , also the Night guard man ), Italian & Spanish are spoken beside some English ,Front desk is open during the day until the eveining , in case you are coming late you can call them about your arrival time so they can do the check-in for you and provide you with a map and some helpful information , in case you are leaving before the front desk is open you can leave the key in the key box .||||Internet is only in the first floor and when i was there it wasn't working but the KFC near the hotel has the WiFi free 24/24 , they said that they were moving from a Network to a new one , so the wifi should work by now ! ||||My room was on the second floor with a bathroom in commun , the room is big and neat and has a twin single bed for two persons,Sink (washbasin) it is commun in all old hotels, big window that offers a view on the court yard ,it has a fan in the cieling but it doesn't have a TV or Fridge , the chambermaid cleans the room daily , bathroom is always clean and it has a big tub with an electrecity heating water so the hot water won't last for too long .||||I will stay in this hostel in my next visit to Ibiza , and I hope that the owner / manager provide this hostel with new services and facilities (bathroom kit like soap & shampoo) , television , fridge (in summer is very important )and WiFi not just on the 1st floor but in every room and also breakfast or a dispenser for cold and...

The Good: Front desk staff - GREAT! Very clean, spacious room. Very comfortable firm foam mattress bed. Room has obviously been remodeled in recent times as the paint was clean/fresh, new IKEA wardrobe with nice wood hangars (vs typical bent up wire leftovers) and sink vanity. I had a shared bathroom but never encountered anyone else. Water pressure was excellent. Room was made daily and fresh towels put in. Luckily, I was on the first floor, therefore only 1 set of stairs to climb. Nice to have a 'social' room nearby to sit on the patio or use the microwave.||||The Not-So-Good (but not bad!): Unfortunately,...noise. The hall and stairway floors/ceilings/walls are all hard surfaces with no sound dampening. As a result any conversation in the hallway or stairway reverberates and comes right into the room. Also, the first few days I was puzzled where all the 'booms' and 'grunt' noises were coming from. I finally figured out every time the front door (to the building) closes it emits a light 'boom' sound which goes straight up the stairwell, through the air lattice and into my open window (which has to be open as there's no AC and airflow is needed). The 'grunt' noises were from the cleaners (and probably other people, too) scooting the beds and/or chair around. The legs make a grunt noise on the floor and, again, right into my room. Plus, getting out buckets, mops, etc in the hall. Oh, and the wood on wood 'bang' whenever a door is closed. Funny thing is, I'm half deaf and could hear all this! LOL. All that said, I was able to sleep just fine and even nap during the afternoon. Management might consider putting some signs in the halls advising guests to be respectful and quiet. Maybe put felt on the bottoms of bed/chair legs and edge...

Expérience assez catastrophique dans l’ensemble et le rapport qualité/prix n’y était pas du tout.

Dans les points positifs : l’emplacement de l’hôtel. Pas très loin du port donc pour aller à Formentera, c’est très bien. Idem si on veut rejoindre l’aéroport en bus, c’est très bien aussi.

Les points négatifs vont être long à énumérer. Tout d’abord : très peu d’équipement. Tout est fait pour forcer les clients à aller manger dehors et les endroits pour se restaurer ne manquent pas aux alentours. Ce qui n’est pas normal car même le guide du routard dit qu’il y a des micro-ondes pour chauffer des aliments au 1er étage. Or je n’ai rien vu de tel et ce n’est même pas indiqué sur le site internet de l’hôtel. À 455€ la semaine hors taxe, j’ai déjà vu bien mieux dans d’autres iles des Baléares.

Ensuite : il n’y a pas d’ascenseur. Donc si vous avez une chambre au 5ème ou 6ème étage, préparez-vous à faire de la marche car les escaliers sont assez raides. D’ailleurs, n’espérez pas avoir du réseau à tous les coups pour téléphoner en haut du bâtiment. Le wifi fonctionne lui à peu près.

Concernant les chambres : c’est le strict minimum. Un lit, 2 serviettes, un miroir, une armoire, des ceintres, un peut téléviseur, une petite table de chevet, un tabouret, un ventilateur au plafond, un lavabo et c’est tout. A noter que le ventilateur au plafond est assez bruyant. Impossible de régler l’intensité du ventilateur donc celui-ci tournera à intensité maximale. Et vu la chaleur durant le mois d’aout 2022, il est impossible de dormir sans le ventilateur. Ventilateur qui en plus fonctionne mal car ne refroidissant pas grand chose dans la chambre. Donc attendez-vous à avoir très chaud et à avoir le t-shirt mouillé très rapidement. Si vous arrivez à dormir en supportant le bruit : tant mieux. Sinon, apportez des bouchons sinon vos nuits risquent d’être assez courtes. D’ailleurs, il faudrait aussi remplacer les oreillers qui sont durs comme de la roche.

Dans le genre nuisance sonore : dans la chambre 502, il y avait un bruit bizarre, une sorte de “tic-toc“ comme si des gouttes d’eau n’arrêtaient pas de couler. Ce bruit est inaudible si on allume le ventilateur. Or en vérifiant, le robinet était bien fermé. Je ne sais pas d’où ça vient mais il faudrait faire réparer ça. Sans compter le tapage fait par les voisins le jour (qui se croyaient certainement dans une boite de nuit.)

Le lavabo posait aussi problème car rien ne montre comment avoir de l’eau froide ou de l’eau chaude. En journée, je me retrouvais avec de l’eau chaude uniquement. En plein mois d’aout, c’est très problématique.

Là où le bas blesse le plus : la salle de bain + toilettes au 5ème étage. Elle n’est pas propre. Comme c’est une salle de bain commune, on se retrouve souvent avec des WC où la chasse d’eau n’a pas été tirée. Et c’est dégueulasse. Il n’y a pas de paillasson par terre ce qui fait qu’on se retrouve souvent à marcher sur un parquet mouillé et où on peut voir des traces de pieds noirs. A noter aussi qu’on peut retrouver du sable sur le parquet ou dans la baignoire. On a beau essayer d’évacuer le sable de la baignoire, il n’y a rien à faire, ça revient toujours. Et pour le coup, ce n’est pas de la faute des dames de ménage mais plutôt des autres clients de l’hôtel.

Autre problème : il y avait le saut et le balais utilisé par la femme de ménage. Je ne veux pas critiquer son travail qui n’est pas facile mais POURQUOI cet équipement n’est pas entreposé ailleurs ?

Bref, à moins d’énormes changements, je ne recommanderai pas vraiment cet hôtel sauf si vous n’avez pas vraiment le choix. À ce prix-là, je m’attendais au moins à ce que le minimum syndical au niveau des choses essentielles soit fait correctement. Je devais rester du 8 aout 2022 jusqu’au 14 aout 2022 mais j’ai préféré écourter mes vacances pour rentrer 2 jours plus tôt en France en...
