Juanita Hostal — Hotel in Ibiza

I have never seen such an unwelcoming hostel receptionist! He is a bearded man. An Iranian girl & I waited at the door at 4 to check in, he came by, no greetings, no smiles, as if the world offended him. He just coldly checked our passport and checked us in, no hostel intro, no additional info shared. “Habla español” ? “Here’s your key.” D4. How would I know the floor in the building is named alphabetically? As I tried to confirm my room, he just repeated with a frown😟

Oh, on the last day, I left my luggage at the reception and came back to take it. I pressed the door once, no one answered, so I pressed few more times. He came down to open the door and said angrily, “You just needed to press once.” While we were on our way upstairs, I heard him sort of cursed in Spanish. That really made me feel uncomfortable.

The room is quite claustrophobic, the aroma possibly from the blanket is quite strong. The shower wasn’t working properly. Tiny streams of water came out intermittently, and out of its spontaneity, the stream became a current and then receded into a tiny stream. The temperate of the water varied too.

A building is without lift, I had to drag my luggage walk 4 stairs upward and the reception didn’t even offer the slightest help.

Perhaps it’s low season, It doesn’t offer breakfast on their said rooftop either.

Unfortunately, this is the only hostel available on booking.com, if you are going to Ibiza, you can look up to google maps and there are a lot of hostel to offer. If I ever visit Ibiza again, I would never book...

I booked a single room with this hostal on the 19th feb 2020, straightaway when i paid for the room i realised i had booked the wrong date i put in 4/3/20 instead of the month after. I emailed them straightaway to ask if they could change the date and have heard nothing back so ive emailed another 5 times on various days and still no reply to my request even thought the date is nearing. So i purchase an international calling card and ring them today 25/02/20 at 12.30 lunchtime and a man answers saying i have reached the hostal i explain what has happened with my booking and he says yes he can see online and the reason they didnt reply to my emails is because they are closed. Soon after he said this the line went dead so i called back straight away and nothing. I have called back repeatedly for about 3 hours after as i just want to get myself sorted and know whats happening and NOTHING! Checked emails NOTHING. 25/4/23: One receptionist is extremely rude, she is petite, black hair with glasses, and a mark on her lip.

I walked in and already she had her back to me counting money and harshly told me to wait. I dropped my bags off and I accidentally spilt some water on the floor as the bottle was so big. She started screaming at me and accusing me of doing it on purpose. She was messaging her manager on the computer angrily, closing the door with the other staff of talk about me it so I was left alone at reception, and then looking directly at me when her manager called her and clearly talking about me in Spanish. Disgusting behaviour and she should be fired.

There was loads of bugs in our room on the ceiling, which I had to ask a kind evening receptionist to get rid of.

I stayed in room C2. There are BED BUGS in the bed and my friend and I are covered in bites!! My honest feedback...
