In the pantheon of great Portuguese foods, there are few sandwiches that are more superlative than the bifana. Despite sounding like a beef sammie, bifanas are made from thinly pounded slices of pork marinated in white wine, paprika, garlic, bay leaf, and vinegar. It’s a simple dish, an unadorned dish. They’re such a casual meal, they’re often eaten while standing at bifana “palaces,” elbows up, a cold beer (or in my case, uma Coca) at the ready. Many people add a splash of piri-piri hot sauce and/or a squeeze of yellow mustard. Some care for caramelized onions on top. Purists want nothing but pork, bread, and sauce. I don’t care how you take your bifana, but by all means, please, take one. You won’t be

This is a lovely little place with an extensive menu. I'd recommend it for a good lunch. Bread is good, the quality of the fillings are great and the service was quick and well managed. Not too busy either but we were visiting off peak. Highly recommend. Don't worry about parking, I'm sure there are surrounding places but if you're staying local, every where is within walking distance

Complete disappointment! The food was terrible! PilPil shrimp, very watery, stinky, we were not able to eat even one! Next was the steak Solomillo .. I have never eaten worse in my life! We left everything on the plate! Old meat, they tried to cover sweet onion which was horrible! The second portion of pepper sauce was not better! I do not recommend! The calamari portion cost 21 €! It was very small and like chewing gum! A glass of wine is less than 100ml ... We got a ketchup which was overdue for over a month! The waiter has not even taken over and it will serve other guests tomorrow! The whole bill for 5 dishes and drinks was € 76! I was really disappointed in this place! I do not recommend strongly and I will tell everyone not...

One of my favourite places for eating. They have a very wide menu, specializing on jamon and everything around the meat, but they have a daily (or weekly?) special menu hanging on the wall as well, be sure to have a look there!

The place is always packed and with packed I mean sometimes you really have to get lucky to get in.

Nice thing is, they even keep on suprising me, out of nothing they serve some orders in a very fancy looking way (look pictures), still costing...
