We had a really good dinner at Everest, everything from start to finish was full of flavour and really well done. The mixed starters were tasty and a great way to sample a bit of everything, the cauliflower pakora was a pleasant surprise. We went for chicken tikka masala and chicken tikka madras, both cooked beautifully , one rich and creamy, the other with just the right amount of heat. The mushroom rice and pilau rice were fragrant and perfectly cooked, and both garlic and peshwari naans were spot on, soft, fresh, and full of flavour.
The poppadoms were crispy and came with a great selection of dips, the spiced onions, mango chutney, and yoghurt were excellent. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to include a chilli-based sauce or something with a bit more kick to go with the poppadoms, but that’s just a personal preference.
Overall, a really enjoyable meal and great service. Highly recommend Everest if you're craving authentic Indian/Nepalese food in Corralejo! Next time I will definitely go for some of the Nepalese dishes. If the quality is as good then I anticipate more...
Read morethis is my second visit to this place within 3 months. So I do know the food is exceptional here, except the fish pakora (tasteless). And at the time staff were attentive and food service was also exceptional. So how disappointed I was when I visited this time round. Starters and drink was pretty quick so no problems there, the problem was that a booked table about 8 and had not all seated when we ordered our meals. When everyone were accounted for their orders were taken and their food were put in and made a priority it would appear so much so that we were made to wait nearly 40 minutes for our mains. A family with 2 children who came in and ordered minutes after us had to walk out as staff couldn't give an answer and basically shrugged their shoulder. So disappointing that a restaurant with so many tables are not able to cope. Tip for the place, if you're busy and customers are needing to wait exceptional long, let then know, offer a free drink DON'T ignore them. Although the food is good I need to reflect the rating with disappointment with staff and...
Read moreEverest Spice is a true gem, a wonderful curry house. We were on holiday in Corralejo and decided to go for a curry. We read the reviews, which were mostly excellent and decided to give it a try, one of the staff on reception at the Buendia where we were staying also recommended it. They were not wrong, we had a very enjoyable meal. .We had masala poppadoms, mixed starter, then chicken madras and chicken tikka karahi with keema rice and a chapati. Everything was excellent but the karahi was outstanding. Lots of really tender chicken in both curries and good sized portions. Service was efficient and staff friendly and the owner was very pleasant and chatted with us. We finished our meal with pistachio kulfi, black coffee and a very generous measure of Disaronno (the real thing, not Amaretto). All in all a great meal at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend if you enjoy...
