A Memorable Dining Experience at Restaurante El Patio Argentino
After spending 10 days in fuertuvenura, I finally found the best steak at Restaurante El Patio Argentino last night. Tucked away on a side street, this basement restaurant may not be the most eye-catching from the outside, but don't let its humble appearance deceive you.
Upon returning later in the evening, we were fortunate to secure the last available table, as the restaurant was fully booked. We were immediately impressed by the exceptional customer service, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel genuinely welcome. The relaxed and modern atmosphere, coupled with the beautiful décor, added to our overall dining experience.
Asking for a recommendation on which steak to order, I was pleasantly surprised when the staff didn't push the most expensive option, but instead suggested the Argentinian steak. I decided to order it with a side of salad, and I'm thrilled to say that it was hands-down the best steak I've had during my holiday. The chicken escalope was another standout dish, featuring tender and flavorful meat that filled the entire plate.
The chips were a delightful surprise, cooked to perfection in what I suspect was beef fat, giving them a unique and delicious taste. The side salad complemented the meal wonderfully, and the Argentinian wine we tried was a lovely pairing. The staff never tried to upsell or push anything on us, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Our kid had a homemade, well-seasoned burger that was also a hit. Best of all, the prices at Restaurante El Patio Argentino were more affordable than those in the nearby music square, offering great value for money.
If you're looking for an excellent steak cooked to your exact preferences, I can't recommend Restaurante El Patio Argentino enough. The delicious food, fantastic customer service, and inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for...
Read moreMy wife and I luckily managed to get a table without booking as we were quite early. Nice place although you might not expect it as it's beside a few cheesy british pubs. Staff were lovely. We both had different types of Argentian pasties which were amazing. For the main, I had a steak and my wife had Argentinian beef. Both were well cooked and seasoned and would happily eat it again and again (if I wasn't 49 and it would kill me!)
The last time I'd eaten steak in a restaurant was in Lanzarote and prior to that at Miller and Carter in the UK. Both were poorly cooked and seasoned and in the case of the Lanzarote ones, poor quality of meat. I'd decided that I wasn't going to have any red meat this trip, but I was glad I changed my mind.
We went to another Argentinian restaurant later in the week at the other end of town and the food quality was on a par with this - although they were both different enough in taste, however El Patio's service was much better.
This was my 5th trip to Fuerteventura and we'd never really done our research and ate in the same awful restaurants each time (see my other reviews where I claim that the worst steak I've ever had was in Correlejo :-) ) This year we've had some amazing food and I could have happily eaten this all week until my...
Read moreCame here based off a recommendation from the hotel we stayed at. It’s a small unassuming little restaurant which you could easily walk past. You have to step down off the street to get inside. There is a ramp for pushchairs etc. There were a couple of locals dining which I took as a good sign. The steak menu was small and I felt a little disappointed and settled for a sirloin steak. Others shared a shared steak platter. The staff were all super nice, drinks were served very chilled and the red wine was nice too. Starter was tasty but I was ready for the main event. As soon as my steak was brought out I was very happy, the sirloin cut was more like a fillet steak, nice and thick, zero fat to cut off and cooked to perfection. I eat a lot of steak and this is up there with the best I’ve had. For €25 I would eat this every night. You won’t find a steak near it in the UK at this price. Fries were good, garlic Mayo excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals immensely. The meat platter was huge with steak and sausage which I managed to try, this was also good and not just to make the plate look fuller. Excellent value and a very easy recommendation. The staff were attentive and genuinely interested that we enjoyed our food and the service. Would return every night if it...
