Disappointing. I really wanted to like this place more. Maybe on a another visit, it'd be different. 3 stars for professional wait-staff. -2 for the food experience. I like to taste a few simple dishes when I visit a place for the first time. My feeling is if they pay attention to the simple things, then there's a good chance the rest of the menu is worth trying. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the starters. The croquettes were deep fried in dirty oil, which just wouldn't be acceptable in any non-tourist destination in Spain. Pretty disgusting. I also ordered a local cheese, that was grilled or warmed and served with marmalades. Not bad, but not great. The cheese itself isn't really that outstanding to warrant a dish of its own. I imagine they do nice fish and nice salads here. Maybe that's where I went wrong. I went on a weekend and there was a tsunami wave of customers that came in when they opened the doors for lunch. The staff hustled to accommodate everyone and managed, but it made for a bit of rushed experience, as opposed to a relaxing one. I get the sense the place gets a lot of traffic, at least on the weekend. It seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists, which I appreciated. I tried a glass of local wine, but I think it had been open the day before and not closed properly. It was a...
Read more"Exceptionally poor customer service. The owner exudes arrogance and seems completely incapable of offering even a modicum of respect or courtesy to paying customers. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority here. Questions and requests were met with dismissive attitudes, making the entire experience feel more like a burden than a welcoming dining occasion.
The owner's lack of professionalism and unwillingness to address even the simplest concerns was shocking. I’ve rarely encountered such blatant disregard for customers—especially from someone at the helm of an establishment. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration; there are plenty of other places that actually value...
Read moreThe food was really good, but we weren’t fully happy with the atmosphere and the service. The black rice with squid & shrimp was honestly amazing. If you want to try this dish, I can recommend! However the downsides were that they had run out of most of the cocktails (no sangria, no margaritas, no daiquiris, only mohitos), and the white wine selection was either very limited (only 1) or I misunderstood the waiter. They forgot the water we ordered, spilled some of our fried eggplant on the table and generally it felt like a rushed/chaotic environment (we sat outside and it was almost empty & calm, but inside was quite full).
Our waiter was very polite, very enthusiastic...
