The fact that they don’t have any Korean beer should have been a red flag 😅 but since I got the last table, I wanted to give it a go. The positive: service is well intended and efficient. The negative: No hand soap in restroom, which really makes me hope that the kitchen staff has somewhere else they “do their business” Probably the worst cooked rice I’ve ever experienced - dry, severely undercooked, almost like a pilaf. Very odd rice to serve with Korean food. There is no way any chef tried this rice before serving it… The meat in my Ssam Bulgogi was OK in terms of flavor, but the texture was odd. Almost like ground beef, just drier. Some very large chunks and other very very small, almost ground meat like. The Kimchi (€5,95,- extra 😅) was decent, but a bit too high in acidity, but that’s just my opinion as a fellow kimchi-maker. All in all, a weak 3/5, and in my opinion not worth the calories

Delicious Korean food in the Calle Tenerife venue! Highly recommended. We started with the fried Tteok with sauces, plus vegetable Mandu dumplings; our mains were Bibimbap with meat, and the Dakgangjeong Agripicante chicken wings; all washed down with sparkling water and a couple of Tropical beers. The flavours of all the dishes were delicious, and everything was served in generous portions - great value and great food. The staff were really friendly and prompt with service. We were visiting Las Palmas de Gran Canaria early in the year, and so we decided to sit indoors on a cool evening (the Calle Tenerife/La Puntilla venue) - which was a good idea, because the interior is fabulous, too, with a great atmosphere! Kim is definitely worth a visit. (If they ever decide to expand internationally, I hope they come to Dublin.)

Service was friendly. Mobile phone reception is poor inside the restaurant. That makes using QR code menu difficult. Server was quick to share wifi for this. Ambience is dark and loud. They did turn the music down a little when we came in. But it was still overwhelming. I’ve had Korean food before in several places. This was terrible. The gyoza 🥟 type dish was tasty. But I suspect it is made offsite frozen and reheated on order. The cellophane noodles were just bad—mushy and oddly greasy. The pancake tasted like someone’s leftovers. It was lukewarm and greasy. The sauce with the pancake was overly salty. I don’t recommend it. However I think a lot of people may think it’s okay.
