As I sit at this table, having just eaten an incredible series of dishes, my mind can only try to comprehend what I’ve just experienced. I can only describe it as indescribable. And yet, I still try to write this review. A paradox. The first of many. No worries, I’ll walk you through it. We begin with the salmon tartar. The way the light crunchiness of the cracker pairs with the freshness of the tartar and leche de Tigre? Unfair. I was mad. But we were just warming up. Next up? Pad Thai. I’ve had this dish hundreds of times, but nothing would prepare me for this interpretation. Innovation? Understatement. A thin pancake of egg surrounds perfectly flavored noodles, punctuated with crispy bits of airy shrimp. Trust me. You’ve never had pad Thai like this. If you thought the at was as mind bending as it gets, their grilled lettuce would look at you and laugh. How did this lettuce get so smoky? How is it both crunchy AND tender?? Why have I never thought to pair grilled lettuce with crunchy strawberry bites before? I forgive myself as I indulge. Our next dish, the mole tacos with pork ear, hug you from the inside. This dish and the stew with pork and chickpeas fall into a very specific category: food that tastes like someone loves you. We finished the savory part of our journey with the tandoori meatballs with panipuri. Fun. Perfectly proportioned. Gone too quickly. An unexpected fusion to round out the night of unexpected delights. For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake, merengue and the cookie with orange shavings on top. My personal favorite? The cookie. It tastes like a Christmas with family where theres a pile of presents and everyone loves each other. Eating this will make you want to redecorate your home for some reason. I think I need to buy more candles and a turtleneck now, but those are problems for me to revisit when I’m done digesting. All in all, I leave this experience with a full stomach, and potentially, as a better person. Nothing but a strong recommendation for Maraca- food and service.

Maraca’s was one of our most life changing experiences, a whole culinary trip around the gastronomy experience and trips of Chefs Alejandro and Marina. They make sure that we were hosted with the best food on their beautiful and charming restaurant. The dinner started with homemade Potato bread, fresh and crispy; a Salada of lobster and shrimps which brought me home like tasting cazuelas de mariscos from Colombia, My wife’s favourite first dish vieras, jalapeño, aubergine, full umami, freshness and creaminess, blow mind. Then we had pad Thai Maracas style, smoky, creamy and unique way of serving which on my wife’s words was feeling like crying of happiness. We got a high with the octopus, ñoqui, mushrooms and satay sauce. She was feeling like they did love to her with the amazing trip so far. Then we go from the sea to the earth and start with the amazing France and Argentina married duck, orange; tender, melting in the mouth, a perfect marriage, we were so stunned with this dish that we forgot the photo. the most amazing tacos, mole, chocolate, pork crackers, coriander and whole umami and everything made in the house, this guys just make you feel in the heaven. Last from the savoury we got amazing and unique meat balls, juicy, tender and out of this world I describe it as every bite having tickle in my mouth and in the stomach, or we can call the butterflies. Then for desserts we have a Pavlova which and their special cookie, which were fantastic and unique like the whole experience in this wonderful and a must to visit restaurant. Maraca as it name recall is a place where you can enjoy a great meal, and travel in a casual fine dining with fresh ingredients and with Chefs that will just make your mind blowing with every bite.
