Palm Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Went in without checking Google Reviews first and that was a mistake. Coffee is served in a paper cup, smoothie served in a plastic cup. Such a waste, why not use normal cups and glasses, like other restaurants? Ginger smoothie only tasted like banana. Also ordered a chicken wrap (which also came in a plastic basket. Why not on a normal plate?). The wrap was boiling hot on the outside from the grill, but the chicken inside was cold. Not fresh, and it had no flavour either. For nearly €8 I expect you can at least use fresh ingredients, it's not that complicated to put a piece of chicken on the grill when someone orders a chicken wrap. Fantastic service and sorely needed if staying in the hotel across the road. The service is second to none and the staff are friendly and helpful. Have been in several times in our week here and have always been very impressed with the food and the cleanliness. There is a wide range offered with freshly made hot or cold sandwiches, salads and rolls (as well as readymade options if you are in a hurry). There are also crepes, churros, pastries, cakes and muffins, and crisps and fruit. They also make fresh milkshakes and coffees and have a range of bottles and cans (including some beer). Really nice Café! The food is amazing ! There're so many different kinds of milkshakes and smoothies, you can even create your own smoothie! I had a chai tee frappuchino with almond milk and a vegetarian panini with grilled eggplant, tomato and mozzarella cheese. So good ! And the price of the food is also pretty good. The only downside are the plastic dishes, that are definitely not necessary when you sit at the tables in front of the cafe! A lot of plastic waste for no reason... Please...
