Great for tourists - but for local regulars AVOID!

I've been a regular customer here for about seven years, about once a month. They serve sour dough pizza - which is a little unusual in this island. Well, it is a little unusual in Italy too, being an American invention which was repatriated to Italy - but that's another story! And despite the same-old same-old selection of toppings, we've always found the sour dough great! Other dishes so-so, limited wine selection and so-so service - but we enjoyed the pizzas! Today I passed by with a few friends in tow, We just wanted dessert, coffee and liqueurs. And yes I know it was almost peak time at 2030 - but we just wanted 15 mins max. "No" came the response, "you can't sit outside". I went inside to speak to the owner and to ask, as a regular customer, whether we could sit outside for 15 mins. "No". So we went a few doors down who were happy to let us sit and take our 25 euros. Now, I'm an old dude, with many years of business experience. I respect the decision of an owner to refuse to serve. But let's look at the economics. When we left there were 2 empty tables outside. When we walked past again after eating elsewhere there were 3. So he lost 25 euros. But, he's also lost a regular customer. Once a month, average of 4 people, spending 25 euros a head, and over the next 20 years (this is before I become decrepit and need a carer!) this equals 24,025 euros! MORAL? Leave this place for the tourists - regular local customers should AVOID and eat elsewhere where your loyalty will be rewarded.

The worst restaurant experience in 6 weeks of stay in Las Palmas. We had a reservation, outside. No table free when we arrived 2 min before resevation. We were told to wait, then offered a table on a small covered balcony. When asking for proper table, the landlady started arguing with us "if you start fighting with me, I fight back" she said??? Client service??? Finally we got the table that was ours for an hour and a half, the order was taken - but - only one main course was brought, lobster, no tools for eating it, no plate for remains before asking. The second main course came after 10 min. The food was nothing you would recommend. very odd experience. they only allow people who eat to sit by the seaside, if you want just a drink you are not allowed the view. there was a table that waited almost 10minutes to even be recognized just to be told that if they dont eat they cant sit there. poor guy was running around alone trying to wait all the tables hence the wait was long and he was clearly fed up of this also because there was no warm customer service. pizza was OK, smothered in tomato sauce mainly…...
