The extensive colonial imagery was very disturbing. Given that there's no indication from the outside as to exactly what you're getting yourself in for, it was an awful shock. It was terrifying.
The more I looked, the worse things became.
On nearly every wall there are images showing people - including children - being exploited (I.e. Slavery and indentured servitude), from the time that this barbaric practise was glorified (e.g. The East India Company).
It is one thing to "acknowledge" history, but when there are several tables with colonial era logos on them, it comes across as glorifying that most brutal and cruel era of history. This made my friends and I extremely uncomfortable.

This is...

The road in front was being repaved and there was no information available (even when we called the number listed) to find out if it was closed during the roadwork. We were hoping to have the black paella, having read about it on many reviews, but were disappointed that the restaurant didn't bother to put a note on the door about its closure. We waited for 15 minutes until...
