We visited Goiko on a Sunday, and they were open, which was great.
They were open, but there was literally noone inside. So, we picked one from the available 30 tables and sat. It was a 4 person table, and we picked it because we had coats and bags. The waiter came and asked us to move to another table that was for 2 people. We asked him if he was serious, he said yes. Unless they have a 78 person reservation coming in 30 minutes , what he did was just unnecessary.
Anyway, we moved to a two person table, and borrowed one chair from the table next to us to put our coats, which he was fine with. I guess this whole thing saved them one whole chair.
Then we ordered. Waited a normal amount of time, and heard the bell for the food. Then we waited and waited. The waiter continued to clean, mop, and then went to the bathroom and finally saw our food being ready. This whole thing took 5 minutes. As a result we had absolutely delicious yet very cold burgers.
When it was time to pay, we wanted to pay in cash. There was a small rip in one of the bills and the same waiter sent a picture of the bills to his manager before accepting our money. Thankfully his manager replied and we were pardoned by his-excellency-the-waiter. If God forbid the manager was enjoing his Sunday and was away from his phone, we were going to be held...
Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite arriving early and being in the first row to be seated, the staff completely disregarded the order of arrival and allowed others who came later to be served first. The lack of organization and respect for customers was evident. Additionally, there were clearly not enough staff to handle the number of people waiting, resulting in excessive delays and chaos. After waiting for an hour and a half without even being able to order food, we had no choice but to leave hungry and frustrated.
To the owner of the restaurant: it’s clear that you need to hire more staff and implement better customer service practices. Respecting the order of arrival and ensuring prompt service is essential for any hospitality business. Otherwise, your establishment will continue to disappoint customers, damage its reputation, and lose business. If you don’t value your employees and customers, the entire operation loses its meaning. Treat your staff fairly, respect your employees and customers, and prioritize quality service. It’s the foundation of any...
Read moreHave visited twice, about 3 weeks between visits. Had the chicken burger the first time and the Kevin Bacon burger the second time. Neither burger was particularly tasty. Not bad. Simply nothing memorable. However, no doubt, the chicken was better. Each time I went it was about 1:30 pm. The place was relatively empty and only one waiter each time. In spite of the lack of patrons, it took a while just to be recognized, and quite a long time to receive the food. I'm a patient person and used to the slower service in general in Europe. But this was almost glacial. The photos of the burgers look so juicy and delicious, but they are pretty ordinary in taste. It's a very convenient location. For that reason alone, there should have been more people eating. 3 stars is the best I can do for this restaurant. Apparently, others...
