The shop has a wonderful appearance and a great artisanal vibe. The staff gave us a fantastic explanation about their ice cream, mentioning that it’s made with milk from Galicia, where the cows listen to music to keep them relaxed. However, I didn’t find the flavors extraordinary. For example, I usually love pistachio ice cream, but this time I couldn’t really taste the pistachio as much as I expected. The strawberry ice cream was good—tasty, but nothing that left a lasting impression or made me dream about it later. What disappointed me the most was the lack of dairy-free options made with plant-based milk. They only had lactose-free options made with cow’s milk, which didn’t work for me. I found it hard to choose something, and I really recommend that they add at least two or three flavors made with plant-based milk. Overall, decent ice cream, but it could improve with more inclusive options.

I’m very glad that I stopped here! Tour guides kept saying to go to Casa Mira for ice cream, because of its history but I went in there and they ignored me. No Hola, Hello, Hi no eye contact, nada. Whereas here, not only was the ice cream extremely yummy but the man behind the counter serving it was very nice and friendly too. We spoke about the quality ingredients, we spoke about produce from Galicia (and why I would go there vs San Sebastián) and he also let me try a couple of flavours ahead of choosing. A lovely experience all around! (PS. I choose the dulce le leche and peanut butter flavours - it was like my own little ice cream Snickers 🙂)

This amazing ice cream shop sells the ice cream made from the milk of happy cows from organic and sustainable farms in Galicia. During our 5-day-stay in Malaga we were drawn by our kids here every single night. But don’t think it’s a kids’ only place! There are some sorts of ice cream with alcohol and espresso is also tasty (especially in the late evening). If you’re lucky to meet Moises-the-boss himself, show him my comment and (only if you are very lucky!) you might get a strawberry in chocolate to top up your ice cream!!

We wanted to try the ice cream but the rude attitude of the owner made us rethink this decision. There was a wooden horse outside of the shop and my niece tried to swing on it. The owner was standing right next to the horse and shouted at my 4 years old niece that without buying an ice cream he is not allowed to swing in the horse. I looked at the owner as if he was just joking but he repeated his comment one more time and he was almost ready to pull my niece from the horse. I understand that this horse is out there for the clients but the kids don’t understand remarks like that sometimes and he made us feel like we were criminals. Since this is a small business I consider it unnecessary for the owner to scare his best and most innocent clients and by that I mean...

INCREDIBLE! This must be the best quality in Malaga. You are eating delicious ice cream so pure it seems like health food.

The owners have their own dairy and produce creamy, light, scrumptious basic ice cream; and the savours are really original. Try ricotta with figs for light, cheesy sweetness; hierbabuena Moroccan mint for stimulating freshness; or orange chocolate for wonderful, over-the-top savour.

The service is courteous and pleasant, the location in the charming centre of the old town. Don't miss this.

2023: Have just tried a choc ice cream awarded a prize as Spain's best. It is NOWHERE as good as the ones here!

However, there are other ice cream parlours close by who write bad, false reviews to damage the...
