Waited 1.5 hours for the food. Then the server (the owners daughter) said there was something wrong with our order (it was never sent to the kitchen because she did not understand how she sends orders to the kitchen.) She then started screaming that she would call the Police because we did not want to pay full price for the food that still had not been ordered or delivered to the table. We told her that there is no need to scream at us because she did a mistake but she kept screaming that "You are perfect people that never makes mistakes! Pay me now!" Her father (the owner) then tried to calm her down but she did not listen and still demanded full payment for drinks and food (not that we had gotten any food) the father then removed the food from the bill and we payed full price for the drinks just to get out of there. This woman was not willing to own up to her own mistake or willing to provide us with compensation. The location was nice but sadly she ruined a nice day with our...

Bad food but service is what makes the differenece - terrifying. Ordered three dishes. Goat salad was ok. Then came tapas. Cheap ingredient of rice and pasta, potato. Taste bad. What was not though acceptable that mussels and one creamy dish were off. Threat off food poisoning. As my partner is certified Australian chef he knew at once. To top it off there was plastic in Sangria. All it happens( of course Not in good restaurants) After telling waiter things were shiftly taken off the table. Then the owner arrived with full bill. After pointing out that this is not really proper the owner started yelling (!) “you pay!” After I tried to record situation he physically attacked me. In the end an experience to write home to but if you don’t want to waist money on bad food, get food poisoning or have screaming fight with Spanish “gentlemen “ would...

We have just had 10 days in this amazing city and we came across Restaurant Tormes by chance on our first night, it’s such a beautiful setting with the outdoor dining area located next to the amazing Cathedral, in it’s own private courtyard. The staff are so very welcoming and have a sense of humour often lost in restaurants like this one. I only wish I had asked for our waitresses name but hopefully she will read this and remember the cheeky Englishman with his family 😎 Food was excellent not over the top fancy just good traditional Spanish food, with a bottles of the recommended Carmelo Rodero Ribera, and they were happy to offer it either at room temperature rather than chilled. We loved it so much we had our last meal there last night so 5 stars and we will be back. Peter &...

The appetizers were delicious: We ordered fried anchovies, malagan salad, fried eggplants with honey. The main dishes were okay/average but nothing special at all: We ordered a burger and pork sirloin. The french fries that came along with the burger and the pork were not appealing at all. We did not touch them. Also, it took them a while to get us seated although there were many tables available. Nice restaurant but I wouldn’t come back.
