So we tried churros in every city we went to. My husband found this place and it has wonderful reviews. As soon as we went in I could tell it’s more of a trendy Spanish Starbucks type of deal which that’s not bad but it’s not the same as a mom and pop shop. The churro was a tiny thing which… that’s not a bad thing. We were just used to the mom and pop churrerías where they give you the biggest churros in the world so when we ordered the 3 churros and we saw the tiny little things we asked if that was the 3 churro orders. The waiter was probably what set us off. Had he not been such an a$$hole I think we would have not felt bummed about the 3 tiny churros. It’s ok, we wanted to experience and rate each city’s churros, the hot chocolate wasn’t bad. It was tasty actually but not what we’ve had in other places where it’s thicker. It all started by us asking questions and the waiter half answering everything and looking at as like we were idiots. Hello. We were asking questions because we DON’T know and based on our experience it was different. The caramel syrup, which was more of a toffee type of syrup was very dark so not what we’ve used to and considering the other waitress brought us the wrong order at first we felt more of a need to ask for questions. My husband asked if that was indeed the caramel syrup (because it was so dark) and the waiter was like “😒 did you try it?” Of course not we didn’t want to in case it was someone else’s food! His entire demeanor since we sat down was like 😒😒😒. I get it, you don’t like your job but you made the entire experience ridiculous. We had the best service in the entire Andalusian region. Best people in Europe I would dare to say only contenders would be the Greek and the Italians, but this one guy and the tiny churros were an epic fail 😂 The guy making the churros was awesome and allowed for some pretty awesome pictures for my husband. I can guarantee the other waiters are probably super warm and nice. This guy is definitely the exception and not the rule but it would have sufficed to say “yes our churros are smaller but that is the 3 orders. The Carmel is darker but yes it is that.” Move on and I would have not been sitting here writing the review. We ordered 3 more churros because it was so tiny that we needed more. Chocolate was good, place was clean, churro maker...

Cafe wasn't too busy. Was waiting to be seated but no one acknowledged even though The servers passed us more than once. Decided to just sit down but was told we were supposed to wait to be seated. No signs saying that and hard to know you're supposed to wait if the servers ignore you. Ordered a ham sandwich with butter, a bacon and cheese sandwich, a roast pork and cheese sandwich and some drinks. When we ordered we asked for a sprite and was told just "No." Thought the server was joking. Asked again, he said just, "No" again. We were all confused until he said they didn't stock sprite (He could have said that instead of just saying no with no other explanation). Food came. Was served a dry roll with a comical amount of butter packets beside the roll (no ham), a cheese sandwich (no bacon) and the roast pork was just sliced ham. There was no translation issue because our server spoke good English and confirmed our order back to us. When I complained I was told, "Well that was the order that was put through the system" as if that was somehow my fault?? Corrected order came out quickly (though apparently I still had to butter the bread myself??). Place wasn't overly busy but lots of uncleared tables. Lots of used napkins all over the floor. When we went to pay we were ignored by the 3 people behind the counter, one of whom didn't seem to have anything to do.

I would have given credit for the order being corrected quickly if I hadn't been expected to butter my own sandwich...

🥐 Maybe the only place that serve churros on Sundays! Churros are very good! Don’t get chocolate souse, get the hot chocolate instead.

🥪 Simple menu. Sandwiches, churros, coffee etc. Food is OK-ish, very basic and down to earth. My ham sandwich was just that → bread with ham, nothing else.

👥 Clearly geared towards locals. Since it was packed with local residents, which didn’t look like tourists at all.

☕️ My double espresso had too much water. So, don’t go here for specialty coffee.

💲 Prices are average. I would not call this place cheap for the type of food and ambience it provides.

🪑 They have plenty of table. Some overlooking the street. However, no outside tables for some reason.

🧑‍🍳 Stuff works fast and they are pleasant. But, don’t expect any special attention, since they are usually pretty busy.

📣 Noisy. Which is perfectly fine. However, if you want piece and quite, this will not be...

We came for churros as we saw some good reviews on both the churros and sandwiches. I'm not sure if we were just unlucky or got different treatment as tourists but these churros were hands down the worst churros I've ever had. It came cold, soggy and oily, it felt way undercooked as there was no crunch and was weirdly chewy. The sandwich was just average. The service was rude, we're always smiley and friendly with staff everywhere so I don't understand where this treatment came from, but they quite literally threw the plate with the sandwich on our table, we were shocked. The sauce was the only thing I enjoyed in this meal and I definitely won't be coming back.

You can see on the pictures an espresso, a nice capuccino (same as the marketing pictures, right?) Okay, dont looks so good...and what? The tastes were same... We waited more than 30minutes after our order when the waitress came and told to us, there isnt more croissont..."okay not problem, sandwiches will be all right" And we waited 20minutes more... For 3 sandwiches... The carrot cake tastes like refrigerator, the table was dirty... not going there if you would like a nice experience. And on the last picture you can see what others left from their orders... (mostly everything and we totally agree why)....
