Asorbos - Port of Mahon — Restaurant in Maó

Stumbled on this place on Good Friday, when most restaurants are booked up. It’s by the harbour and we got a table outside at almost 10pm; I imagine it would be amazing in the summertime!

Nice tapas - we had the squid croquetas, which were dark with ink and very savoury; the fresh steamed mussels with citrus mayonnaise and the fried calamares, which were tender and crisp. The only real miss was the patatas bravas, which I found to be very oily and soft and the sauce lacked any kind of kick.

Overall I thought the food was fine, but expensive for what it was. Service...

The outside is not well protected from sun. Avoid to eat outside if you're with kids. The food in general was too fat, too much oil. They were kind to move us inside. The very bad thing was that they proposed us the KIDS menu instead of one chicken nuggets. We discovered that the menu doesn't include any drink. At the end we have been charged €10 for this menu while the single dish was €8.90 (potatoes a part). It never happened to us that a KIDS menu doesn't include the water. For mineral water 1lt. they charged €3.5 The bill didn't meet the quality...

Deja bastante q desear a no ser q t guste esperar una hora y cuarto para comer. El servicio es desastroso. Fuimos ayer a cenar y tenian a 4 personas atendiendo las mesas, una chica q podria pasar por aceptable teniendo en cuenta q tenia q oeganizarlo todo ella sola, el chico mas joven d todos q no parecia tener mucha responsabilidad pero recogia los platos y los traia d forma bastante eficaz e intentaba resolver las quejas d los clientes lo antes posible. Por otro lado tenemos a dos plantas d jardin, el primero no sabe ni por dnd le pegaba el aire, trayendo platos a cuenta gotas, olvidandose d la mesa d destino o directamente llevandolos a una mesa equivocada a personas q llevaban mas d 45 mins esperando y su frase estrella en caso d q un cliente le pidiera algo era “ahora le atendera mi compañero”. Por ultimo pasamos al mencionado “compañero”, esta persona era la encargada d tomar nota d las mesas, con razon las comandas luego llegaban cuando llegaban. En las dos horas q estuvimos sentados en la terraza, el 90% del tiempo estuvo mirando el movil con cara dificil y hablando solo, al parecer estaba intentando organizar algo desde el movil q le estaba llevando al borde del colapso. Por si fuera poco este tambien tenia una frase estrella, “ha habido un problema con la cocina, en 5 minutos traeran la comida”. Curioso que el problema sea d la cocina cuando a otras mesas q se han sentado despues q tu ya les han traido la comida y les queda poco para pedir la cuenta. En resumen, la comida no esta mal pero los trabajadores d la terraza son unos inutiles q les da igual trabajar mal o al menos eso es lo q demuestran. Pongo dos estrellas por la comida, sino no...
