After a long day at the beach, we were looking forward to a relaxing family meal at this restaurant, drawn in by its promising reviews and appealing atmosphere. Upon arrival, the setting looked lovely, and we appreciated the small personal touch of a greeting card with our name on the table — it set the tone for what we hoped would be a great dining experience. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended.
The starters were a clear letdown. We ordered prawns, only to be served what appeared to be tiny frozen prawns scattered over a small, uninspiring omelette — far from the quality we expected.
The mains only compounded the disappointment. A so-called risotto arrived that, bizarrely, contained no risotto rice whatsoever but was instead some form of “potato risotto.” To make matters worse, we discovered both a hair and a piece of metal in the dish. When we raised this with the staff, they initially dismissed the metal as “herbs,” only later admitting it was in fact part of the kitchen’s washing-up equipment — hardly reassuring.
We also ordered the paella, which sadly tasted muddy, stale, and far from fresh — again, not what one anticipates from a restaurant with positive reviews and in Spain.
While they did eventually offer to cover the drinks — a gesture we acknowledged — it hardly made up for the fact that most of our meal was untouched due to its poor quality. What followed was equally disappointing: instead of handling the situation with professionalism and sincerity, the staff inspected our plates as if to question our concerns, eventually offering a partial discount, but by then the damage was done.
Overall, the experience felt unprofessional, dismissive, and not reflective of the reputation they seem to hold. A real shame, as the setting and first impressions were promising — but unfortunately, the food quality, safety concerns, and handling of the situation left us with no...
Read moreWould have rated 0 stars in every category if possible, actually even negative. Was a very poor excuse for a restaurant. The night started by being lured into a lovely atmosphere and view by the port (of all the places we had to choose we went for this one, talk about bad luck 🙄).After waiting 45 minutes for our starters enough was enough and I politely asked how much longer, only to be met by under the breath, what one can only assume to be cursing. He then came back after literally minutes with our starters AND mains, so surely they must just have been sat there on the side rotting away. No complaints for the starter apart from being a side and not a starter, However my steak was practically mooing and my girlfriend’s burger the same. By the time it came to the bill we had to ask several times for the gentleman to then arrive with a machine sellotaped together that didn’t work because he hadn’t turned the wifi on, Something that was only discovered by him after 5 attempts to pay and escorting me inside like I was a criminal. Next day was our flight home in which we both were violently sick and shunned off the plane. AVOID AVOID AVOID this place...
Read moreLovely looking venue, shame about the food and service! Take your money elsewhere on the port for better food and service.
Ordered food- my girlfriend ordered Steak. €19 on the menu, asked for it Medium rare. Steak came well done, tough and inedible. We reluctantly told the waiter it was well done when we asked for M-r (he then pretended to speak no English). He shouted a few Spanish words and took the plate away. Came back over 5-10 mins later to say it will be 5 minutes. Steak came blue. Literally still mooing. Daren't complain after the previous treatment! When he took the plate and said how was it we just said Blue.. He again shouted something which we didn’t understand and proceeded to make us feel ignored and insignificant. Rude service and shocking standard of food considering it is supposed to be a high end establishment. Will be taking our custom and money elsewhere in future. Much nicer places on the port to eat that have great service and great...
