OhLaLa — Restaurant in Maó

We love ooh la la. We've visited Menorca several times over the last few years and it is always consistent. On of our favourite spots for breakfast, light lunch or coffee. 😁

My wife and kids love the chocolate covered croissant which is essentially a croissant completely covered in chocolate sauce. I'm also told that the ensemiladas are very good too. I tend to go for the bacon and cheese croissant which is delicious. 🥐🥖

It's a great spot right on the Mahon harbour and you can sit in the gazebo at the front. There's a fantastic views of the bay and of the Yachts as the marina runs along the front too.

You can also sit inside if you can't get a spot outside (can be tricky for bigger groups). It's air conditioned so offers some welcome relief from the heat.

Everything is reasonably priced. My kids, my wife and I (5 people in total) all had a croissant and a drink and it came to under €30 including tip.

It's table service so they will take your order and you pay at the counter when you are done.

I think they do takeaway and there is a toilet.

The road along the harbour is now one way and there is limited parking along the road itself. You might be lucky although get ready to practise your paralleled parking? There is a carpark above the strip of shops and a lift to bring you down to...

Really lovely food in the end! Unfortunately the service was very disappointing. If you are English I wouldn’t recommend going as this restaurant seems to have something against the brits! The man that served me was very rude and threw plate on the table. At first I received a plate I didn’t ask for and I wasn’t fussed but asked for what I ordered and he got very annoyed at me. Won’t be going back and it’s a shame because the food is good but the service and experience of being there made it so unenjoyable especially on...

Vergonzoso. Soy residente en la isla, hostelero de profesión y cliente habitual de la cafetería, al menos hasta hoy. Hemos pedido dos cafés con leche (uno de ellos con soja) y sacarina y dos tostadas con serrano y tomate. Los cafés han venido con azúcar, un pequeño fallo habitual y fácil remediable salvo porque hemos vuelto a pedir sacarina y de nuevo nunca llegó. No hay problema, los tomamos sin nada. Al llegar las tostadas ambas llegaron con queso. Cosa la cual a mí no me importaba pero a mí acompañante que tiene intolerancia a la lactosa (de ahí el café de soja) sí. Y bueno sin mas apartamos el queso de sus tostadas y tampoco dijimos nada. Terminado los cafés pedimos otro con soja y sacarina más. De nuevo nos llega con azúcar pero esta vez encima no era ni con soja. A lo cual ya sí que se lo notificamos a la cámara y tras llevárselo nos lo devuelve y nos dice que "le sabe mal pero que no nos lo puede cambiar porque sino lo ha de tirar. Total hemos tenido que pedir otro café más de nuevo. En resumen, un pésimo servicio. Y evidentemente nos han cobrado los 4 cafés y las tostadas con queso, en total 20,05€. Quiero dejar claro que está mala reseña no es por los numerosos errores ya que todos somos personas y me considero bastante comprensivo. Pero la falta de empatía y profesionalidad por partes de los empleados/gerentes si...
