VERY BAD place! The food is not tasty, but the worst thing is they scam you! They don't speak English AT ALL, but have an English menu from which I ordered small calamares, small chorizo and something else. Then when they brought it I started eating and it was a lot. I was first thinking "not that bad for the price and the plate size". But then when it was time to pay it turned out that they brought me a PLATE with the things I ordered and not the small things which I ordered and which I even showed them in their English menu. It's my first time eating this food and tapas in general and I specifically ordered the small ones only because I was alone and when they brought it I thought this is the small thing which I ordered and how it shall look like. But no, they did it on purpose to charge more. I specifically asked for the small one and showed with fingers but they don't speak English AT ALL. None of them. And I couldn't argue because they just kept saying in Spanish that they brought me a PLATE and not the bocadillos. So be aware! If you don't speak Spanish don't even DARE to go there. Even if you speak it's...
Read moreThis is a dive bar, an old man's bar, so I won't try to dress it up. Thing is, if you come to Madrid and want a good tapa, these are the types of places you look out for, not the chic, well-designed places, those will charge you for the tapa. This place, the bartenders are cool, it's a chill environment and what I love most, the oreja a la plancha, it's so good! It's so cheap, at €5 it's a steal! And the last time I had it I spoke with the bartender and he said that they buy it fresh, whole, and chop it there, so you know why it tastes extra good. If you're in the area, this is the best bar to head to,...
