The menu doesnt have much choice I find it limited to the similar plates. We weren’t able to select anything because we didnt understand what it looked or tasted like by the description. Even though we’d have language barrier (which was NOT the case because I think a madrileño and an english speaker are enough to read any kind of menu) it is the minimum expected from the waiter to explain asked plates with a minimum level of interest. We felt like we were causing her extra work, and we felt bad to have asked. After asking 4-5 plates and understanding nothing because they all sounded forcedly replied to us, we ordered smtng to break the silence. We liked the ambiance a lot, it is very chic. The table, presentation, bar, restrooms, all quite elegant. Waitress was nice to us at the end offering to pack the rest of our food, which we find super super super kind. It is really hard to ask such acts in chic restaurants, so her proposing and cutely insisting was very appreciated by us ! Also, we were served with water non stop, it was also quite satisfying for us, we didnt have to call the waiter every 10 min to renew the water they were very attentive. Food : Cheesecake presentation was different. We think it should be called something else :) Recommendation to the restaurant : You may consider revisiting the presentation of the fries. After a sofisticated starter, the main course looked like the a fast food tray because of the french fries randomly thrown next to the meat lol. Please put some elegance on its presentation , you’d earn much more positive points than...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a stylish Mexican restaurant that’s a bit more than just the usual tacos and margaritas, this place is absolutely worth checking out. It offers a refined take on Mexican cuisine with a twist—classic enough to satisfy traditional cravings, but also different enough to feel fresh and exciting.
The food is excellent, with rich flavors and beautifully presented dishes that stand out from typical Mexican spots. What really impressed us, though, were the cocktails. They were not only delicious but also visually stunning—each served with thoughtful decoration that made the whole experience feel special.
The interior design is another highlight. The decor is elegant and carefully curated, making it a great spot to bring guests or celebrate a night out. The location is also convenient, easy to reach, and perfect for hosting friends or colleagues.
One unique aspect is the evening atmosphere: after a certain hour, the music volume picks up and a DJ takes over, transforming the space into a lively bar-like setting. It’s a blend of a fine restaurant and a trendy bar—perfect if you’re into Mexican food but also want a place with a vibrant nightlife feel.
Prices are slightly above average for Madrid, but considering the quality of the food, drinks, and overall ambiance, it’s still quite reasonable.
Overall, if you’re in the mood for great Mexican cuisine in a stylish setting with a bit of nightlife energy, I definitely...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at La Única, a Mexican-Argentinian fusion restaurant located in Madrid, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the unique and stylish decor caught my eye, and the vibe was even better on a Saturday evening with a DJ playing.
As for the food, it did not disappoint. We tried the shrimp tacos and the meat entraña, both of which were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The blending of Mexican and Argentinian cuisine is truly a match made in heaven, and La Única executes it flawlessly.
And let's not forget about the cheesecake dessert - it was the perfect sweet finish to our meal. The attention to detail in the presentation and taste of each dish was truly outstanding.
Overall, I highly recommend La Única to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience in Madrid. From the impressive decor to the delectable cuisine, this...
