Update 14th October: In the end they contact me to apologize sincerely and offered 4 canele for free, cause their mistakes and the way they handled the issues before. So I am really appreciated that they did trying to resolve the issues. Update 12th October: Today I had the worst experience ever, we called the shop in the morning around 9:20 to reserve 4 canele and 1 croissant, we heard the workers were double check twice and we paid it through the phone to tell them my credit card number. When I come to pick it up, once I got put from the shop I opened the bag, there were 4 cupcakes which nothing close with canele. I went back immediately to tell them the issues, what they did was taking away these 4 cupcakes, and tell me they are sorry, so I can call them next time to get 4 free canele. I think this is the worst customer service I had ever, I think that normally the shop will just refund you and give you the wrong products for free, and maybe tell you to compensate you free canele next time. Not took away the wrong products and told you to keep the ticket for next time to reserve the products which you already paid now. I have been reserving and buying products in the shop at least once in the week which all the old workers should already knew me as Cheng. But I am really disappointed this time. Cause this is really bad customer practicing, I hope that you guys will really work on that, not losing all the old customer because you think the place is famous. Btw in the end they agreed to just refund the 4 canele money back to the credit card, so they don't owe me anything. Update: their canele was the best in Madrid, but for the last more than half year, I don't know if they changed the workers inside the kitchen or some other reasons, their canele was out of the shape and soft, as their loyal customer we told them few times about the issue, until recently I think that their quality came back as they used to have, I really hope that they will keep the best quality as always. Btw their workers are really friendly and helpful as always we call them to reserve products. One of the best french dessert place in Madrid, if you love desserts, then you must...
Read moreNestled beside the lush Retiro Park, Moulin Chocolat is a pastelería that promises a delightful escape with its sweet offerings. On my visit, I indulged in the Canales and a pistachio croissant filled with blueberries. Taking these treats to the park, I found each bite to be a celebration of flavor and texture.
The Canelé, with its caramelized exterior and tender heart, was a perfect balance of tradition and craftsmanship. The pistachio croissant was a revelation—flaky layers giving way to a generous filling of blueberries, with just the right touch of sweetness to complement the nutty pistachio.
However, our experience was slightly marred by the service. It seemed we might have caught our server at an off moment. She was a bit short with us and seemed rushed. A little more patience and willingness to delve into the variety of pastries they offer would have made our visit perfect.
Despite this, for anyone looking for a sweet moment of bliss in Madrid, this is the place. The pastries from Moulin Chocolat are sure to add a special touch to any day out in...
