Cordial service and wonderful dishes! The waitstaff offered helpful recommendations based on my tastes and appetite and treated me very kindly and professionally. I ordered some chicken kolkata and garlic naan based on waiter's rec... washed down with a Cobra and finished off with their special tea and shot of Bailey's.. I really like the appetizers too which they serve while you wait for the food.

Compared to other typical Indian places the aroma from the kitchen was not overwhelming or even noticeable and spicy dishes are relatively mild. The decor is both modern and traditional.. Overall the atmosphere is very colorful, comfortable and accommodating, with a variety of seating available to suit whatever mood (check out the lower floor!) I especially admired the Buddha and photos of iconic Indian landmarks and scenes.. there are colorful lanterns are fabrics to stimulate the senses all around too.. bathroom facitilies were roomy, clean, with pleasing decor.

I only went for a quiet solo dinner after returning from a long trip and the place was indeed very quiet (understandable considering it was New Years day with most ppl ordering for pickup) but there was some nice music playing which I enjoyed...luckily, too, it was one of the few places open on New Year's Day! . I have always walked by this vibrant place thinking I should try it and I'm glad I did! Definitely recommend and would try again with...

We dined last night and the service of the waiter was good and offered to meet the chef who was very kind and understood our requirements for a genuine indian flavour and everything went well.

We came back this afternoon and were treated very rudely by some other waiter and staff. The restaurant was empty and they insisted we sit on last nights table which was very cramped between walls to the extent we cannot stand straight to move out even with the chairs pushed fully backwards. We sat elsewhere, we were made to get up and change our table. We requested for the chef to explain our Indian requirement and he refused to call insisting that he knows everything and that we should order with him. There was no one in the restaurant except us but he insisted in a very rude way that chef is busy and we have to place order with him only. Very bad attitude, we walked out and came to another nearby indian garden restaurant. Very receptive staff and feeling relaxed here.

Very bad attitude, will never recommend unless they change such staff or men’s...

I’ve never been to an Indian restaurant where EVERYTHING was at an extra cost. I mean you don’t get any rice with your main entree. If you want rice, it $8€ - the main is 15€! If you want naan, it’s 6€ per. The prices of all of the sides, drinks, etc is more than the entree. There were 5 in our party including 1 child and we ordered 4 entrees. The waiter asked if we wanted rice - we said yes. We ordered naan as well. We ordered a few soft drinks and mango lassi. At the end we order 2 deserts and 5 teas. I was astonished when I got the bill. It was $138€. The 4 entrees were about $55€ and the 1 rice, 3 naans, the soft drinks, desert and the teas were over 80€!! I would rather them charge 25€ for an entree and not deceive their customers with overpriced extras and to lure people to their restaurant thinking it is an good value restaurant. The evening ended with a really bad experience- I will never go back. Th ambiance was decent - the food was...

I had gone to Purnima for a dinner on a weekday. The first thing that caught my eye was the absolutely splendid interior decoration and well-manicured interiors. They brought me a complementary serving of chips along with 3 dipping sauces as soon as I placed my order. The green (mint) and red (tangy) sauces were pretty good. I then ordered onion bhaji and biriyani, both of which tasted great. It's a little unfortunate that the biriyani doesn't come with any sides.. not even a raita or saalan. So I had to order a raita separately. At least the raita didn't disappoint in its taste and portion size. I really enjoyed my visit to the restaurant and I think it's definitely worth visiting the restaurant if you are looking for a fine-dining experience along with delicious food and a great selection of drinks.
